I enjoy taking low angle shots, where I can pivot the lights, flash, reflectors, diffusers, umbrellas, soft-boxes. I place the fixture right above the stand leg for stability. Occasionally I'll place the camera with the tripod head on it, it manages the weight very well. Even with a small telephoto lens.
