I like to use off camera flash for a variety of subjects but until now I used an "extension cord" to fire the flash. While this works, you're obviously very limited in distance and placement of the flash unit. That handicap is why I tried the FlashFire. Going wireless opens new doors as you can place the flash unit anywhere within range of the unit. Another great feature is that you are not tied to a specific camera: it works great on both my Nikon and Canon. I wish I would have bought this sooner!

This is a great wireless system for the price. I've never used the Pocket Wizards, so I can't compare them. It's been very reliable for me. It's solidly built, like all the Photoflex products I own. It's simple to use--attach the transmitter to your camera and the receiver to your speedlight or strobe. I have only two criticisms. First, I often forget to turn off the receiver, so the batteries sometimes die between sessions (days). Second, the transmitter does not lock onto your hotshoe, so it may slide out of contact during a session. Both easy to remedy. Far better than having to work with a cable dangling from my camera.

This product came with very little information. Not even Battery requirements were included in package. So far with trial & Error we are working out usage. We had such High hopes that this would solve our remote flash needs...were still working on it.

Decent construction for the money. Works reliably for specified distance. Really handy if you don't like long cables and if you don't mind manual mode only. Hotshoe connection unreliable, transmitter slides off easily. No power switch on transmitter, when packed away trigger switch may end up pressed killing battery. When used with 580EX power switch on receiver is not accessible. Too bad unit is not designed to work as remote camera trigger.
