The first litedisc I received was slightly bent like a potato chip. I thought this was normal, but it left me unsatisfied. I could point part of the reflector at the subject but the rest of the reflector curled away from the subject. I started reading about the litedisc on PhotoFlex's website and saw that the reflector had a lifetime guarantee to be flat. I contacted Adorama to inquire about the warranty and was directed to contact the manufacturer because I was outside the 30-day return window. I was able to return the first litedisc and get a replacement. Unfortunately the second litedisc was twisted worse than the first. After a discussion with PhotoFlex customer support, they advised me to gently stretch the material at the sides of the light disc near the top and bottom of the frame. This did fix the problem and now the reflector is flat and has stayed flat. They also confirmed that the first reflector was defective. I hope this information helps any future buyer. The silver side offers good reflectivity. The white side offers a much softer and slightly dimmer light. Initially, folding this litedisc was a challenge by there's a YouTube video that clearly shows how to fold it. Once you do it three times, it's very easy to fold.
