Shopper : will this work on a flash mounted on a camera? I have a D40 Nikon with a SD600 flashALAN B : It works well when I use a Sunpak 120J flash either on camera, or off camera on a bracket. i remove the standard reflector and use a Chimera speed ring for Lumedyne. The light quality is beautiful! Lumedyne and the Sunpak 120J have the same fitting size, so interchangeability is possible.......When using a Canon or Nikon shoe mount flash, I would look for an appropriate speed ring bracket from Chimera, Photek, or other supplier. The light quality can be very good, athough the bare tube light quality of the Sunpak 120J or a Lumedyne flash head is better. Hope this information is helpful to you.LARRY H : This is not designed to fit a portable flash unit. It connects through metal rods under tension to a photoflex bracket that connects to a high intensity lamp. This softbox would be too heavy for a hand-held flash unit, in addition to not having the proper fittings.
