Questions & Answers

GOKHAN C : I would like to know if the mount on this light and the tilt lever are made out of metal? If I were to use a 48" softbox or a big beauty dish, I'd question the built quality after spending more than a $1000. Is it true that I can not plug this light into a wall unless I buy an adapter? Thank you in advanceJuan G : The mount and tilt lever are sturdy enough for you to use a 48" softbox (or larger) or a big beauty dish. On your other question of wheter you need an AC adapter to be able to use the light while plug to a wall connector that is correct. Unfortunately the unit either comes with the battery power controller or the AC unit controller. Unlike the Elinchrom ELB 400, which you can connect to a wall outlet to charge while using it, the Indra uses a separate controller for each mode of operation.ERIC A : The mount is plastic but I've mounted a 7' octa to the light without a problem. Just don't knock it around. You can't plug this light directly into a wall socket. You need to have the phottix ac/dc adapter.
