I'm a casual photographer who is not using this professionally. My first shock was the tiny, tiny manual it came with. As a novice who has never used a wireless trigger it was scary. But despite the fact, I set the receiver to channel 1, turned the camera, flash and transceiver on, waited for the flash to load and pressed the yellow TEST button. That's it! Now I use my flash more than before, I couldn't stand it before but now its a joy.
