At the heart of this rasterizer is the Qx Physical Layer Toolset, a factory-fitted option that leverages cutting-edge RTE (Real-Time Eye) Technology. This technology provides instant identification of SMPTE compliance issues, ensuring your signal integrity is maintained. The real-time SDI jitter window offers comprehensive monitoring across five specified frequency bands, complete with jitter histogram and video trigger options, allowing for precise and efficient analysis.
The PHQXL01-3G enables you to obtain accurate measurements within seconds of connecting an SDI signal. It allows for detailed analysis of rise and fall overshoot at both the top and bottom of the waveform. Additionally, it displays critical measurements such as amplitude, rise and fall overshoot delta, and DC offset, all of which are essential for testing against SMPTE standards. Any measurements that exceed specifications, such as an eye amplitude greater than 10%, are clearly highlighted in red, ensuring immediate attention.
Built-in automation control enhances the efficiency of testing, allowing it to be conducted faster, more reliably, and at a reduced cost. The SDI Eye Analysis feature includes Real-Time Eye (RTE) for SMPTE compliance testing, with clear indications of DC offset. Automatic measurements cover DC level, amplitude, rise and fall time, and rise/fall overshoot, with visual rise time indications for comprehensive analysis.
The device also offers a horizontal time histogram of the eye crossing point at a 0 mV threshold and a vertical amplitude histogram that indicates energy distribution across all samples. Users can choose between single or multiple eyes with options for color, heat-map overlay, and infinite persistence for enhanced visualization. Furthermore, timing and alignment jitter thermometers are color-coded according to the analyzed SDI standard, providing an intuitive and user-friendly interface.
