The Pioneer VSX-1123-K 7.2-Channel Multi-Zone Network Ready AV Receiver features Direct Energy amplification with up to 165W per channel. It's equipped with Dolby and DTS high-definition surround sound decoding, Ethernet connectivity and a GUI that supports album artwork. The receiver features eight HDMI inputs that support 4K and 3D pass-through, Audio Return Channel (ARC), Deep Color (36-bit), x.v. Color and MHL 2.0 for Android audio/video playback. Plus, it provides a 192 kHz / 24-bit digital/analog converter and a QDEO video processor with 1080p (24 fps) scaler.

The VSX-1123-K is DLNA 1.5 Certified for network streaming. It is HTC Certified as well. It supports AirPlay for wireless audio streaming from compatible Apple devices. Plus, the receiver can also stream audio via Bluetooth, but an optional AS-BT200 adapter is required. You can use your iOS or Android mobile device as remote using the ControlApp. And, if you have the optional Bluetooth adapter, you can use the Air Jam App with your iOS or Android mobile device to share music and create playlists via Bluetooth.

The VSX-1123-K can be set up in one room with all seven amplifiers powering your home theater. It also supports multi-zone audio. This means that you can use two of the seven amplifiers, as well as the second subwoofer pre-out to power a pair of stereo speakers and to connect a subwoofer in another room. The Zone 2 setup even allows you enjoy different content from what is being played in the main room.

The receiver also features multiple analog audio and video inputs, a coaxial audio input and an optical audio input. There is a front panel USB port as well, which you can use to connect your iPod, iPhone, iPad or USB drive. The USB port supports direct digital connection and it will even charge your device. Other features include multiple Pioneer sound enhancements and Pioneer Auto MCACC Room Calibration, which includes a setup mic so you can perfectly calibrate your system to your specific room dimensions.
