With the introduction of the Phil Jones Bass (PJB) Cab 27, model# C-27, experience a new level of sound quality in compact, high-performance bass instrument loudspeakers. The Cab 27 is engineered with two proprietary PJB 4 ohm 7-inch drivers, wired in series for an 8 ohm total. These drivers are designed to manage high power levels of up to 200 Watts, ensuring your bass frequencies are delivered with minimal distortion.Enhancing the high-frequency component is a proprietary 3-inch magnetic liquid-cooled voice coil cone tweeter, offering a fully extended range from 30 Hz to 25 KHz. This tweeter is designed for great dynamic range, lower distortion, and a smoother frequency response, providing a comprehensive audio experience.The Cab 27 also features the PJB dual vent system, designed to handle high air velocities without distortion. With a hyperbolic vent aperture at both ends of the elliptical tubes, air flows through smoothly, reducing turbulence and noise. This results in a cleaner, deeper bass sound.The cabinet construction of the Cab 27 combines panels of plywood and medium density fiberboard, providing rigidity and reduced vibration, while maintaining a lightweight design. It's covered in heavy-duty vinyl/carpet and features a "kickproof" shock-mounted steel grill, a heavy-duty recessed handle for easy transport, and rubber feet for vertical or horizontal use.Despite its compact size, the Cab 27 is fully capable of handling 5-string bass fundamentals down to the low B string. The cabinet is precisely tuned using multiple loudspeaker analysis programs to reduce cone movement at the lowest frequencies and increase low-frequency output.PJB's commitment to research and development is evident in the Cab 27. Utilizing a full-size anechoic chamber for acoustic measurements and a laser scanning Doppler interferometer to analyze cone movement in 3D across the whole audio spectrum, PJB ensures that the Cab 27 delivers unmatched sound quality.
