Just bought this today. I'm a truck driver and I was looking for something that sounds pretty good when watching movies and this is definitely it. My truck has a apu with home outlets in the bunk so im.able to power it up. My rating for movies is 10/10 for music 7/10. I may have to mess around with my eq on my phone to adjust the sounds better for music.

I've only owned my Magnifi Max AX for less than a week, so I can't speak to longevity. However, from a sound and quality standpoint - WOW. I recently upgraded to a 77" LG OLED TV, and like most TV's nowadays, the built in speakers leave a lot to be desired. I wanted a quality sound bar setup that wouldn't require satellite speakers to achieve the desired result. I tried a $150 LG soundbar and was thoroughly unimpressed. I went on to try a $280 Bose speaker and was underwhelmed. We have a mini Bose Bluetooth speaker from 10 years ago that sounds better than their current TV speaker. From there I tried a $280 Yamaha soundbar with integrated subwoofers and was again unimpressed. At that point I knew I'd have to spend a lot more money to get the sound I wanted. After a great deal of research I decided to gamble on this Polk model. I heard some great sounding systems in a big box store but all of those cost $1000+. The reviews of this Polk model convinced me to take a chance... and I'm very glad I did. From the moment I opened the box, I was impressed. The packaging is very thoughtful, and companies that put Polk's level of attention to detail in packaging, tend to produce quality products. The soundbar feels and appears high quality. The subwoofer, while simple in appearance, also gave a look and feel of quality. The remote (I'll always want a remote versus strict mobile app control like some other companies) provides all the control options I wanted (I appreciate quality sound but I'm far from being an audiophile). Setup was quick and easy. Plug in the soundbar, plug in the subwoofer and use a single HDMI Arc connection from the soundbar to the TV. Once I turned on the unit, I knew instantly that I finally made the correct purchase. The sound has a depth and richness that blew the $150 & $300 soundbars away. I don't have the satellite speakers for a point of reference. I may add them later for true surround sound, but the soundbar and subwoofer can more than stand on their own. I sampled music, TV shows and movies and there's an optimal setting for each that all hit their mark. Voices are clear, bass/low range sounds great and the up firing speakers proved to be more than a gimmick to imitate true surround sound. The night mode is another great touch that again proved to be more than a gimmick. The LCD readout on the soundbar itself is also great. When changing modes, adjusting volume, bass, etc... the display will readout level numbers. This is very helpful, especially since the volume control through my TV remote only displays a plus or minus on the TV when adjusting volume. Bottom line, you get the sound of a much higher priced soundbar in a sleek and quality package, with the ability to expand to true satellite if desired. This is my first Polk product but I'm now a fan. Worth every penny!

After 3 years of using a Klipsh Cinema 600 that suddenly stopped working, I purchased the MagniFi Max AX and I just can't be any happier. Absolutely amazing sound, punchy bass and a good price. The Klipsh was good, but the Polk is definitely a step above in terms of clarity, power and punchy bass. I will definitely be looking at Polk first in my future audio needs.

I bought this Soundbar last week and it sounds amazing. Deep bass and watching movies in Atmos has been great. my issue comes with changing inputs. I have it hooked up to earc. When changing from TV to HDMI it worked great at first. Now I have to used to remote to switch and the HDMI's on the Soundbar no longer work as they should. My cable box is connected to HDMI 1 and when I turn it on it no longer automatically switches. I use the input on the remote to switch it and sometimes that doesn't work. I actually have to unplug the earc hdmi and re plug for it to show on the tv. This is a major setback for me. As great as it sounds I want to keep it but it may be getting returned soon.

The sound bar works great awesome sounds but the woofer doesn't work. If it's connected it loses its connection.

Rated 5 out of 5 stars Home Theater in a box Posted 3 weeks ago. I'm shocked at how good a sound bar can sound. I have had a few sound bars over the years and they all have performed fine and better then built in tv speakers. They lacked that cinematic sound or booming bass. This Polk sound bar is amazing! I wish I could give it more stars as it really deserves more than just 5. The sub with this sound bar is huge (10inch) where others are 5 or 6 inches. The larger sub takes up more space but is well worth it. The sound bar itself is bigger than others but it has 11 built in speakers, 3 HDMI input ports, optical connection, and USB. There is also a connect button on the back for the sub and surround sound speakers. This sound bar does not have the surround speakers, but you can easily add them if you wanted. I have the sound bar hooked up through eARC on my TV. This allowed us to control the volume and inputs via the sound bar remote. Our tv only has two HDMI inputs so this perfect that we actually have 3 instead of two like before. It's also really nice that we only need to use one remote to control our setup. Speaking of setup, this was very simple to setup. Plug in the HDMI, and power plugs and you are all setup. The sub connected automatically, but if not, you just need to use the connect button on the back of the sound bar. The top of the sound bar has controls for volume, Bluetooth, input (for Hdmi), mute, and power. The front of the sound bar also has a display for adjustments. The display is not always on and only shows for a few seconds while making changes. Even without making any changes to the sound bar (adjusting treble, bass, etc) it sounded awesome. We adjusted the settings, and we were blown away at how fantastic this sound bar sounds! I had the bass at the highest level, and you could feel the bass traveling through the floor, it felt like being at the movies. This sub is not a bangy sounding sub like others, this one actually produces bass to not only hear it but to feal the full impact of it. I'm a bass fanatic and this was two thumbs up for me. You can hear each individual sound in a movie and voices are clearly heard. I think if we had the two surround channels it would make it even better, but we are still impressed without them. I could go on and on about this sound bar and how great it is. We didn't realize what we were missing in sound quality until we got this sound bar. This is truly a home theater in an easy to setup package. This would work for a home theater or your living room, you cannot go wrong!
