I have owned this subwoofer for 5+ years and it still sounds as good as ever. I had this subwoofer in my room for over 4 years and regularly used it for music and some movies. This sub is efficient and does a lot more with 50 watts rms than other subs, which can be credited to the obviously well thought out design of the driver and enclosure. If you don't know too much about speakers, this is an easy suggestion on my part for a budget sub. The driver is extremely compliant but does not lose out on punch, being 10" and tuned at ~40hz. The peak at the port tuning is not any more obvious than with other subwoofers I've heard, it just happens to be higher. It does very well with normal listening and even as an audiophile I don't often feel that I need it to hit lower or have more transience and that goes for hip-hop, r&b and metal. In this past year I have had the subwoofer in the trunk of my black car, sliding around and jumping at turns and bumps, in 100 degree + heat. Doing this has pushed me to write a review because I am baffled at the fact that it has no signs of damage (besides chips in the enclosure from sliding around. I'm surprised it's not worse) nor any degradation in the sound quality. I now have owned and heard many other subwoofers but I had to come back to write this review. Amazing product ??

This is probably the best home theater woofer on the market. I'm a JL enthusiast with my cars. But at home, this woofer is absolutely perfect with movies and games. More bass would be redic for a home theater unless you're doing lol. I have one on a Yamaha amp, the other Sony. The bass sounds the same thanks to it's built in amp

Unit came with a purchase of in wall speakers and replaced an old Bose unit. Was really impressed by the upgrade compared to the old Bose. To be fair using the system on a covered patio so the old Bose had seen it's better days.

I listen to mainly classical music thru ELAC Debut 2.0 B6.2 Bookshelf Speakers. The Bottom end ad some of the middle has been absent. This sub woofer has increased my listening pleasure beyond words. Thank you Polk Audio!

Perfect. I have two bookshelf speakers in a (previously) 2.0 setup. Their frequency response drops off like a shelf below 100 Hz. My AVR has no sub output, so having the speaker level inputs and outputs was critical. It was well packaged any easy to hook up. The volume and crossover frequency knobs made dialing it in to match my speakers pretty easy too, though I can't resist doing a little more tweaking. The sound is warm and full and retains an accurate punch. Couldn't be happier.

The bottom of the box in which my PSW10 arrived was completely wet, secured only by the styrofoam support and an excessive amount of packing tape I didn't notice any water marks on the speaker so I assumed it was okay. The water issue most likely occurred somewhere on route. At any rate, I'm now playing and adjusting the rich base levels delivered by my new PSW10 subwoofer. Looking to find the sweet spot between what I want and what my wife can live with. In other words, having fun with it. Thanks.

Well worth the money, I say! It's better then I expected and more then I hoped. It's amazing subwoofer and suggest buying it. Great sound with easy setup and everything! Just remember that your stereo needs to have subwoofer on, course I forgot myself lol.

This is my 2nd PSW 10...my first one died in an electrical storm...I had no question in my mind about replacing it with the same model. I have it paired with a Polk sound bar. It sounds amazing and I get a lot of compliments on the audio quality.

I wire paired this with my Bose and works great. This really eliminated the need for me to pay extra 350 to get a Bose wireless subwoofer. I got this as an add on for free with my Polk purchase during year end sale. So makes it more value for money.

I spend a lot of time in my kitchen, dinning room. This was the perfect addition to my satellite Bose speakers powered by my nakamichi receiver. Great for low volume behind conversation at the table and also totally blasting it out for kitchen clean up!

I guess it's time for a review. As the title says, it just won't die. I purchased the sub in 2007 as a scratch and dent sale item. Yup, 15 (almost 16) years ago and I'm not joking. I never found a scratch or dent but I did find a sub that takes a lick'n and keeps on kick'n. It has been paired with numerous systems. For the last 8 to 10 months it has been parked in my shed with another system, number 5 I think, and still kicks. I hook it up, plug it in and...boom...works like a champ. Same amp, same speaker, same everything. I've done nothing to it except a little preventative maintenance on the speaker's surround about 4 times a year. I've upgraded the speakers so now I don't need it. My plans are to convert it for my car :) Thanks Polk for a well made subwoofer. Now if I can just get my hands on a pair of RTA 12's. I've always wanted them ever since they came out. Did I just date myself?

This Sub will make your Surround definetly come alive. Im using it with a 7.1 system in a room that is 21ft. X 21ft. It is a fine Sub worth enjoying.
