Not impressed.
The sound bar and subwoofer I received from Adoroma was supposed to be refurbished but they sent me the system that really beat up. Both the sound bar and subwoofer had physical damages on arrival. I contacted customer service and they returned the package. I love Polk audio products but I’ll say this was not any close to their known standards. Two star because of good customer service, otherwise minimum rating possible.

Great for intended use. Look elsewhere for music application.
Good quality. Voice audio is much better than my previous Vizio 5.1 soundbar system at lower volumes. The subwoofer doesn’t seem to provide booming background sounds for those action scenes that I miss but not a big deal. The Bluetooth upgrade works better than the WiFi connect for playing music. I don’t think it’s very good for music however, it’s good for Movies and TV and that’s good enough for me.

Not recommended
Sound bar works great! Remote and subwoofer won’t pair with bar and tech support wasn’t able to help. Poor directions included in package. Very disappointed!

Very nice sound bar.
Very nice. I received the package quickly and everything looks new. The system has a good sound listening to music or movies. Sub has strong bass, much better than the previous 2.1 sound bar I own. I would recommend this system.

Packs a punch
I'm very pleased with my purchase. The sound on it is excellent! My daughter I enjoy watching her movies together with this system. One negative was the optical cable wasn't included as it should have been and we waited 10 days for them to ship it out.

A waste of money and time. Directions would be nice as it isn’t even slightly intuitive.
No directions came with the unit so I have been unable to get it operating. I plugged it in and gave it my best shot but failed miserably. The remote does not work. I assume the battery is dead. I pulled the tab to engage the battery but no unit response to tapping keys. Pretty much a big nothing. Sorry I purchased it.

My first Polk Dissapointment
I have always been a big fan of Polk products. In the past I always felt that the Polk brand stood for quality and that I could buy anything with the Polk name and I wouldn't be disappointed. In this case, I felt like I was a sucker because I paid up for a brand name. If you did a blind sound test with this unit and any lower grade $ unit, you probably couldn't tell the difference. The one good thing is that it has a powered sub-woofer...but that is about it. The sound-bar is very disappointing. I'm guessing it is just under-powered. It just sounds like it has a cheap built-in amplifier that is not bringing that sound out! The amplifier really is critical for good sound. You can take a quality amplifier and bolt on some lower grade speakers and get decent sound. That is not so if you take high quality speakers and power them with a low grade amp. I'm afraid that is what Polk did hear. For the first time ever I would say pass on Polk.

Disappointing service!
Received package today, cannot even test the system if operational as the package was missing 4 items incuding power cord and remote, as well as other items! Very disappointing! Sending your customer something that they paid for but cannot use!

Quite a Disappointment
Pros: The soundbar is attractive.
The sale price
Cons: The base is overwhelming, even at its lowest level.
The sound level varies from program to commercials
and even from one commercial to another...rather
irritating.
At a $ retail price, the remote should be more
substantial.
Polk customer support could be more helpful.

Decent system, worth the money.
Easy set up, nice sound quality. I wish the remote that's included was more substantial. The one that comes in the Polk package is very small and toy like. Adorama delivered promptly and the components arrived in pristine condition.

Great customer experience.
Great experience ordering from Adorama. My Polk SB1 sound bar shipped quickly, arrived in great condition and was incredibly easy to setup. There was plenty of communication along the way and I'm happy to report that It sounds great! I'm very pleased and would order from Adorama again.
