I had this sub professionally installed in a new home. The room is fairly sizable volume wise at about 17'x17x with 13' ceilings. This sub is paired with Polk's dedicated amp (great amp with a Pioneer Elite receiver. The performance is exemplary, bass is tight and deep without a hint of boom. My only regret is not installing 2, which I may still do. If you are considering this solution get 2.
