I bought these TL-1 satellite speakers used from eBay as an experiment. I don't have the matching subwoofer. I was contemplating building a set of speakers very much like these, with a 1/2" dome tweeter and about 2" midrange for use in a small bedroom. Glad I found these, because I'm certain I could not have done as well on a DIY project. These are technical little marvels with their waveguides for the tweeters and contoured, low diffraction cabinets featuring an aperiodic vent. I'm using them in an unusual fashion, crossed over at about 300 hz with an electronic crossover. They're sitting on some larger bookshelf speakers which are now covering everything from 300hz down. The resulting sound is really quite amazing, with clearer and more natural mids and highs that float out of the speakers much better than the larger bookshelf speakers could do on their own. I'm absolutely delighted! I never thought I could have such good sound in this little room. Also, this combo of Polk TL1 crossed over at 300Hz to larger speakers can really rock! Louder than I really ever need or desire, they never sound strained or compressed. I call the stacks my Darth Speakers. The black towels that make the cape are to minimize diffraction. As you can see, I don't even have decent stands yet but already the force is strong with these.

A pair of these are being used as satellite speakers in our kitchen. They always supplement the main stereo and suit that purpose just fine.

I bought two of these and a Tl1 center channel speaker. They sound good, but only hit down to like 120hz, which is not bad for movies or satellite speakers, but not great for music. After having the speakers for a year or so, one of the speakers took a hard fall. As it was outside of warranty, I took it apart and realized that the crossover was broken. I contacted Polk and, while I had to call them, they found a crossover and only charged me $12 for it! They shipped it to me free and the speaker is working like new again. For the money not a bad a speaker, but a great company behind it.

Hi all, I highly recommend these speakers for surrounds if you have limited space with RTI Front speakers. They sound great and audessey xt32 set these at 80hz crossover in my HT room, nice upgrade over the 120hz satellite speakers I had. My Denon x4000 runs these while my Emotiva xpa-3 runs the RTI-A5's and CSI-A6. Nice clear details. Very happy with these. They look great also. (Omni mounted on rear wall

These are very impressive speakers in a small and affordable package. These replace nice wooden speakers that came with a bookshelf JVC system -- one of the cones developed a hole and a "bottom-out" effect. These Polk TL-2s are even smaller speakers and pump out very surprisingly clear and rich sound. Great for a small desk with size constraints.

I purchased the TL-150 (4 satellites and center) .. they are a great match for my Polk 100W sub I have now. Crisp mid's and highs.. any normal amp will not even hit their limits. Buy them now and you will have many friends giving you praises!

I am a a 66 year old who has had many speaker systems over the years; from the inexpensive to the over priced. My last system was in the $5000 dollar range and these little speakers may not be as loud; but they make up for it in quality,clarity,and pure listening enjoyment. Speaker technology has indeed come a long way!!! The whole system reeks of quality and it is reflected in the sound they produce. To say I'm impressed would be an under statement. They exceeded all my expectations and then some. Have to be experienced to believed. Thank you Polk for making an old guy smile.

I have the TL1600 and two extra satellite speakers to make it a 7.1 system. I owned a 5.1 and a 7.1 before and the sounds out of them doesn't even come close to the TL1600 . I could hear the diference as soon as I turned them on.

I was interested in soundbars for the convenience of not having to install a multi-speaker system. I spent a couple of months doing research on the soundbars and decided to go to a major electronics store to check out the sound of multiple manufacturers. I wasn't that impressed with the output of the soundbars. Then I happened to come across the TL-1 series including the subwoofer which was playing at the time. I asked the sales rep if the TL-1 system was the only surround system playing at the time. The reason being, I couldn't believe that #1, it was the only system playing and #2, that this system could put out that much sound with so much power and clarity. I was sold on the TL-1 in an instant. I brought them home, hooked them up and felt like I was in a movie theater when I played a DVD and at a concert when I played a CD. The sound, the performance, the clarity, the looks, etc are second to none. I could go all day writing this review about how impressed I am. My wife, who is not so much the audiophile loved them (especially the way the look). I don't need to say anymore.

I was looking for a small unobtrusive yet good sounding set of surround speakers for a commercial installation in a spa. They had to sound great, look good and stay out of the way. I paired a TL-2 5.1 set up with a Denon AVR-791 and Polk's great sounding PSW111 Subwoofer. The sound is quite breathtaking for such a small speaker set. You instantly notice a clarity and realism which is surprising. I love them, so does our staff and so do our clients! Alan Indianapolis

I work in a rtail electronics store and have had alot of experience with HT systems. for the price point these are the best speaker available in my openion. We are currently running these to a far substandard reciever and thy still perform better than most speaker packages in thir price range.
