These Polk TSX-110B's have very good bass for their size. The midrange and highs are very clean and detailed. The cabinets are very solid and nice looking. You can crank them up very loud and they still sound excellent. A very good and solid bookshelf speaker for the money. POLK makes very good speakers for the price. I own POLK R-40 floor standing speakers that are at least 10 years old, and they still sound excellent.

First impressions, these speakers are much larger than the ones that came in my home theater in a box (HTIB). These are also louder and offer better frequency response. While they are not quite up to par with floor standing speakers, these still work fine in my front left and right configuration in a decently large living room. I'm using back left and right speakers that came with the old HTIB without issue, at least until I can get another set of TSx 110B to replace those as well. Paired with the TSx 150C in the center and connected to a Denon X3200, this is a great step up from your general HTIB setup. Because these are larger bookshelf speakers they wouldn't really work with my old speaker stands so the fact that they come with mounting hardware is awesome. These mounted to my wall easily using drywall anchors and screws and look great just floating there (I thought ahead this time and got some speaker wire to match the wall color). What could be improved? I would have liked an espresso color as an option to match the wood in my house, but black is close in most lighting conditions. Also, as mentioned above, I paired these with the TSx 150C center speaker to ensure timbre matching. Unfortunately, this means you need room for the huge center speaker. This domino effect meant buying a stand to place between the current stand and TV that offers room for this oversized center speaker. In the end, the sound is great and the difference is palpable. Music and movies sound great.
