I haven't got good sound from the beginning - Shrill tweeters, muted mid-range. I must say that Adorama responded quickly, though only to refer me to the manufacturer. I'm still not sure what's going on, but my "A" speakers (old, smaller, much cheaper AKAIs) sound great, but alas these new "B"s do not. POLK said they'd call me, but alas they have not. I'd be delighted to update this review when they start performing well.

Being a musician and having sold Audio back in the day, I like to think I have good ears for product, specially speakers. I rarely hear anything that competes with my beloved (1982) ADS L-620 speakers. I always liked Polk Audio and gave these TXs220B a try when on sale recently. Super glad I did, These are just great speakers, that should cost a lot more. A very good bargain. The high end / tweeters are excellent. Open and detailed without being shrill. The large front port will give plenty of bass response, you might have to boost it a little depending on your room. Mine were hooked up to a 60 wpc amp and I barely went past the 9 o'clock volume knob position, telling me these are quite efficient. They are quite deep and solid. In all, a very good sound for any money.

I've loved Polk Audio every since I heard their SRS series, way back in the day. Matthew Polk left JBL Labs to create, in my opinion, the BEST sounding loudspeaker. For the money, you simply can't beat Polk Audio. Their sound and performance is ALWAYS way above their price range. And the TSx220's makes my list for side and back surround speakers!

I love these speakers. They have a very natural sound. They are just the right size to fit next to my TV.

I bought these to replace the giant speakers of an older stereo system I own. Originally I thoought that because they were much smaller, the sound wouldn't be as good, but I was totally wrong. They have excellent sound, don't weigh a ton and don't cost a mint.
