The sound is great but the battery life is too short. 2 hours is not enough time. I would prefer AA batteries as the power source. You could use rechargeable batteries, replace with charged one when needed. This would allow you to keep going with your activity.

The battery only ran for 25 minutes at 60%, which makes it rather useless.

Great little add on. Completes its mission.

I've wanted one before they were invented. The buttons are a little stiff. I get a good 5 hours battery life on constant use. Looks fairly rugged and water resistant.

Plug in a bass or guitar, turn on the Polk BOOM, turn on the bluetooth music and LOOK OUT!

Speakers are loud and clear but battery life is terrible. I got 30 mins at full blast out of the charge.

First The PROS - this palm sized clip-on speaker can do the job I was using a larger 9 X 3 inch shelf top speaker to do but much more compact, as a camera monitor for recorded audio. And Bonus - I now use this Boom Bit speaker in place of in-ear headphones for music while cycling. All I have to do is turn on my phone app to stream and clip the speaker to my jersey where it zips open and I have great sounding music while still hearing the open air surrounding atmosphere and approaching traffic. Now for the CON - the only thing I wish they had done differently was to put an actual on-off switch somewhere on it rather than having to press the volume keys to turn it on or off, but that's not a big enough issue to give it a lower star rating.

I bought this for my wife who loves to ride her bike leisurely and listen as she rides. The Bit was pretty 'fritzy' to get connected at first. The sound was great once connected. We could NOT get it to "answer" either of our phones when connected. Both the very brief included instructions and Polk's site were of no help or instruction for the problem. SO, we love the smallness, rechargability, and sound but we aren't sure that you can get it to answer your phone for you.

I work outdoors as a technician and was looking for a way to listen to music without killing my phones battery. The BOOM Bit is a great light weight alternative to large and bulky Bluetooth speakers. The sound quality is excellent considering the size and cost. I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a lightweight Bluetooth speaker.

The only thing it took me a while to learn is how to turn it on. I think that could have been made more clear. Want to know how to do it? Hold BOTH volume buttons down for "a while" and it will start. Do the same to turn it off.
