Awesome speakers. Very happy with sound quality. Been using polk for about a decade. These were a massive upgrade from a couple rti8. Thought the 707's were a little overkill. These 705's have some great bass. Using an outlaw 5000 to power them. I have a denon x4300h. Can turn the volume up to 80 out of 98 and it's super loud. No reason to get any louder for me. They still had little left before distorting. Turned to 85 and the woofers were fully extended making it sound like it was struggling. The old rti8's started to sound like crap around 70 - 75. Not a bad price at $650 a piece. If you're thinking about pulling the trigger and you coming from a similar setup, just do it. You wont be dissatisfied. I promise. Running these with the 706c and it is a tad big for these. I tried the 704c first. It was not bad by any means. But when I decided to try the 706c, it made the 704c sound small in comparison. Dialogue and everything in general just seems bigger and better. Also have klipsch r-14s as side surrounds, couple polk signature s10's as rear surrounds and 4 klipsch rp-500sa's as mounted height atmos speakers in front and rear.

The build quality was very high, and the Midnight Mahogany color looked better than I expected. Most importantly as a speaker, the performance so far has been excellent. For it's height and weight, it could use a wider feet, as it looked a bit tippy. Overall, it is a very satisfying purchase for a high-end speaker, and commend Adorama sales staff Sy for his excellent service.

These are more than enough for our media room. I have an lsim704c for center channel and just bought (yet to install) lsim702f/x for surround. So far enjoying the sound of these - more than enough sound for the 20X25 room. Have a 7.2 receiver so may spring for the side channels yet. Speakers were well packaged and no damage from shipping.

This speaker is huge. Make sure you have a nice area for these with some clearance from the wall so they can breathe. Turning the subs off and listening to high quality audio sounds amazing. The lows, mids, and highs are all represented very nicely. Adding the subs back and watching movies is also top notch. You'd be hard pressed to find some towers that match these for a bargain price. Make sure to grab a nice receiver that can power these towers so you can experience all they can offer. These are great for smaller rooms where the 707's might be a bit overkill. These, the 704, and a new receiver have completely transformed the audio in my man cave. Highly recommend.

I ordered these a few weeks back from Adorama and they are absolutely stunning. I use them with a sub and a Yamaha receiver with 100 watt amplifiers that provides plenty of power. I would bi-amp them if my receiver was bi-amp capable. These are the best speakers I've ever owned and that includes a pair of Ohm Walsh 2's from back in the day. I also have a setup with the older generation LSI's but these are better. You cannot beat them at this price point to my knowledge. They are heavy though. You may want to have a hand truck available.

Very happy so far! Wonderfully full and rich sound. The tactile feel I get with these from kick drums is a noticeable improvement over the Pioneer Elite SP-EFS73s they're replacing. And the cabinet is gorgeous! Great speaker!

I decided to take a chance with these because I wanted to place them in a spare bedroom that I have converted into a dedicated listening room. I thought that the bass might overwhelm the room since I can't pull them out too far from the back wall. This is not the case. They sound great! I have used monitors and a smaller pair of Paradigm floor standers in this room but I wanted more of a visceral punch since I listen to a lot of rock music. These provide the punch while still sounding clean and controlled. The detail is there and yet these are definitely not a harsh or fatiguing speaker. Yes I am a happy camper and very pleased with these speakers.

These are excellent speakers. Great detail and imaging. Nice wide sound stage. And they play loud with no distortion. Base is tight and strong even without a subwoofer. But what I like most is that they sound great at low volume levels on appropriate material. I am using them as stereo speakers only with a 200 watt RMS per channel amp in a 20X30 great room. The construction is superb, although there is no hint of wood grain in the cabinet finish, even though these are called mahogany. I got these on sale so consider them an excellent deal at the sale price. Shipment and delivery were fast, and not a scratch on them.

I've been looking at these Polk LSiM 705's for years! After purchasing a few from Adorama (on a great deal) about 3 weeks ago - all I can say is that I'm extremely happy with them! Adorama shipped them very quickly, and although the outer box was slightly damaged, the Polk box was fine. Set up was easy - using a Denon 4400 receiver and Crown XLS amps (also purchased thru Adorama) - sound (imo) is outstanding...stunning even! I've experimented just using the Denon to power them, and as others have stated, they simply sound more full and vibrant with more power! I'd describe them as very nuanced speakers - lots of detail across the frequency range. I've listened to massive amounts of music - that I've heard for many years over many speaker systems = these are the most full and capable I've heard! They're also awesome with home theater material! Highly recommended - both the speakers and Adorama! These are some very good reviews online - but a few folks mention

First off I'll say that I upgraded to these towers from some polk rtia3 bookshelf speakers. Im in an apartment and don't really need huge towers yet but couldn't pass up this deal and WILL need/want them when I move into a house. I keep the bass down because of my neighbors. These towers definitely have more bass than my rtia3's, and they have more clarity although it is not a HUGE difference. I think a bigger difference could be heard if I could turn the crossover on my amp off and listen to them fully. They are running off of a yamaha aventage a3070 150wpc receiver, and I wouldn't recommend using much less to drive them. I have to turn the volume knob up a decent amount more than my rtia3s to achieve similar volume levels.

If you can get this whole package on sale then you won't find a better setup unless you buy something used. I upgraded from a yamaha rxa1040, polk rtia3's (bookshelf), and still use my polk csia3 center since this one is WAYY too big for my setup. So far I notice a definite improvement in the clarity of the sound and obviously much more bass. I would say this receiver is the minimum you would need to drive these speakers as they need power. I have to turn the volume knob up noticeably more with these speakers vs my bookshelf's in order to achieve the same volume...
