Highly recommended speakers! I knew they'd be more musical than the Polk RTi speakers they replaced, but they're also better with home theater too. I'm surprised at the jump in clarity and...fullness would be the word I'd use - across the frequency range! AND, I haven't even added an amp yet (this week though), so as of now, the speakers are run off a Denon 4400. Also, very fast shipping and great communication from Adorama! This was my 1st purchase through them - but couldn't be happier with the whole process. Definitely recommended!

I finally went for these, price be damned and find them to be incredible. A bit bright when first hooked up but became warm and pleasing within hours. I am driving them with a vintage 220 watt 2 channel amp but I find I don't need to push very hard. The clarity is amazing even at low levels and I am hearing things I have never heard from recordings - vinyl, CD - that go back as much as 40 years or more. The imaging is very good and I am amazed at how background voices become part of the musical landscape and not the background. If you love music don't wait, these are extraordinary speakers.

Fills your world with its wide, dynamic soundstage and its capability to effortlessly achieve truly staggering volume levels. The LSiM705 includes a 5 1/4-inch mid-woofer of lightweight super cell aerated polypropylene for smooth blending with its dual 5x7-inch Cassini oval subwoofer radiators enhanced by Polk's patented PowerPort® bass venting.
The original LSi speakers featured a light, stiff mineral-filled polypropylene cone that was "puffed up" with injected air to form a honeycomb-like structure. The new super cell aerated polypropylene uses larger "puffed cells" to create a cone material that's thicker yet lighter than the original.
The LSiM Enclosure
The enclosure is an integral part of the sound design of the new LSiM Series. All LSiM cabinets are made of 1" MDF on the sides, 3/4" MDF on the backs and bottoms, with wide-radius baffles of robust 1 1/4" MDF. Substantial internal bracing, each driver was its own separate non-parallel chamber, increases efficiency and banishes internal resonances and standing waves for high power handling and incredible smoothness. Wide-radius baffles, along with zero-diffraction magnetic grilles, help stabilize imaging for a very wide, well-defined soundstage.
Whether you enjoy music on vinyl, CD, digital files via PC or MP3, or movies on DVD or BluRay,® the performance of the new LSiM Series will transport you. Experience dynamic musical tonality, coherent detail and natural low frequency reproduction, even at lifelike volume levels. Build a home theater or stereo system with new LSiM Series components and experience timbre-matched sonics and immersive spatial ambiance, with realistic accuracy and linearity, even at movie theater volume levels.
The oval shape helps them produce tight low-frequency music and movie sounds while maintaining a narrow cabinet width. Plus, each woofer has its own PowerPort® — a unique Polk design that positions specially designed "cones" at the mouth of the bass ports to direct moving air to eliminate bass-stealing turbulence.
