Wayne K : Some Polk sound bars allow voice and background sounds(i. e. music) to be controlled separate from voice/spoken which I find mandatory because the sound engineers drown out the dialogue so you can't follow the drama. Does this one allow separation?RUSSELL G : i dont have issues with dialogue using this soundbarAllister K : There is a separate control on the remote to increase voice. In addition the equalizer can be set for movies, games and music.LUIS R : It does have a voice adjustment up/down button in the remote and bass control.
Shopper : Can you connect a sub to this sound bar?Sam S : Do not need to. That's great bass alreadyDan A : I believe it will. The unit has an aux connection with a pin jack. If you connect your tv with a optical cord and your sub woofer through the pin jack it should work. The unit has a switch that turns on both connections. I don't have a sub woofer so I can't test it out.Josh S : There's no direct connection to a sub. At first I thought I need to connect a sub also but the sound bar has much more bass than the sound came out of my TV so I'm happy with it as daily use. For movie nights, I switch to my sound system output.

Enriched Sound with Easy Connect

Polk speakers always make a difference and you can hear it. Easy connection of speakers by digital audio cable from TV. Plug it in and enjoy, as simple as that. Huge difference over TV speakers in a compact 32" sound bar.

Fine Sound Bar

Sounds fine. No issue with Adorama nor the Polk Audio sound bar. Excellent price. Excellent quality. Clear sound. Would recommend.

Mediocre at best

Sound quality from this soundbar is not much better than utilizing the internal speaker on the TV unit. There is increased bass, however, it always sounds muddy regardless to any adjustments made. Would suggest pursuing other bars. Even for low price paid, there are better units to be had.

My Sound bar.

Like the night feature, easy set up, easy to control the bass. This soundbar is so much better than my Samsung tv audio. I wish I purchased it sooner

We lost our sound bar to Hurricane Harvey in 2017. Hadn't had a chance to replace it until recently when we ordered the Polk Audio Solo GE Soundbar. It was delivered a day early but we didn't get it installed until a couple of days ago. It is a great addition to our 60 inch TV in our newly constructed entertainment center. It was pretty easy to install reading the enclosed directions. All in all we give it five stars for value, appearance, sound, and dependability.

Sounds like Victory!

I Love how this sound bar gives off awesome bass and clarity. It doesn’t get any better than this and the price was perfect too! I ordered this one at the right time. It paired with my new big screen tv as well. I should have bought more than one as gifts.

More than decent sound for a soundbar

I wish it was a bit fuller sound but it is just because I switched from surround sound to the sound bar because of a renovation and the desire to remove extra speakers/wires (plus I put in a separate movie room we have for the full experience). Overall, I've been happy with it.. I still need to get my remote synced up so I can use one remote (hopefully this will support it). Overall a very good soundbar.

Great Soundbar for the Price

This soundbar has great sound and fits under my TV quite well. The only caveat is that it cannot program your own cable or satellite to "mute" the soundbar. You either have to use the little remote that came with the bar, turn the volume all the way down, or press pause(if you have it) to turn the sound off when you need to. Other than that it's a great bar.

Not worth passing over dollars to pick up pennies

Sound bar setup was not easy as expected. I found that the remote sync for my Samsung UHD TV was not seamless or intuitive. It was in fact limited only to 5 buttons on the sound bar that could be programmed to my TV remote. And that did not include the mute button! In comparison, my other JBL sound bar retailed for about the same price & it automatically synced with my TV's remote (plug & play). The Solo is also bulkier than expected. If using BT to stream audio, the transfer volume level between device & TV is not the same. It will be extremely louder when transferring audio back to TV if you are not careful. Cannot use with Polk Connect App via BT? What a shame. On the plus side- decent sound quality as expected with Polk audio at a discount price, but you get what you paid for.
