I purchased the Signa S4 yesterday and believe me it sounds really great. Although I have a question, Got little confused while reading the Guide. Connecting through a HDMI cable is better or optical?

Sounds great, easy to connect to my LGTv. Love that you can change it from music to movie and can increase the dialogue volume.

I replaced my previous Polk sound bar with the S4. What a world of difference between the two! The spatial sound that comes from this bar is amazing. As others mentioned the bass is limited, but it works well enough for me.

I am super impressed with my first soundbar and couldn't be happier with this Polk model. It was super easy to set up. The Bar required just a power cable and an HDMI (look for the HDMI port on your TV that says (ARC)). Amazingly, the woofer only required a power cable. After that, everything connected on its own. Power up your TV and the entire system powers up. No additional setup necessary. The sound system automatically powers up when your TV does.

I have been having a lot of trouble hearing and understanding talk vocals on my TV for many years. I have often blown my forgiving wife away with loud volumes to be able to maybe, understand what is being said. My new Signa S4 has changed all of that. I was truly amazed at how clearly I can hear and understand what is being said. I am still learning the ins and outs of settings for particular shows but, I can't say thank you enough for making my TV viewing experience a pleasure once again.

I had a Sonos Beam2 and not matter what I'd did I could hear all the voices. Yea I do have some heating issues, but even my wife who still has good hear would have a difficult time hearing dialogue during movies. I decided to try the Signa 4 after reading reviews. I have always been a Polk fan and don't know why I just didn't go to them first. The Signa doesn't have the fancy app lik Sonos or an equalizer or ability to play music from other apps, but I can actually hear dialogue in movies. The only reason it doesn't get five stars is the lack of an app likeSonos has. I guess that's why the Sonos was $200 more when I bought it. Definitely a good sound bar system for the money. If you have hearing loss this sis a good choice.

I have had my Signa S4 soundbar and subwoofer for two weeks. I absolutely love it. I am looking forward to hooking it up to a Samsung Neo QLED 50 inch. Good investment.

This by far is the best soundbar I've ever owned, I'd been researching soundbars when I seen this ad for the Polk Signa S4, I have to tell ya, it looked and sounded pretty amazing I wanted a soundbar for my Sony Bravia 75 inch TV, so I ordered it off that ad on Instagram it got here pretty fast, so I started to set it up, hooked it in to the HDMI, and it emediatly paired to TV the sound came on, and it scared me it was loud and it sounded dam good I was so impressed and happy, I highly recommend this soundbar

I continue to have the an issue with the bar plugged into the HDMI ARC port. When its on for a bit I lose the ability to raise or lower the volume with my TV remote. I have checked every setting I can change and nothing seems to work. If it wasn't for this continued issue it would have been 5 stars.

Bought this over 2 weeks now and I couldn't be happier. The sound is amazing, and that bass is second to none, love how it bounces off the floor. Shall be investing in another one for my other tv.

We just set up our new Polk Signa S4 soundbar hooked up to our Samsung TV. The wireless subwoofer is easy to use. The quality of the sound is great!

Honestly I returned my Signa S4 and purchased a Magnifi Max AXSR 7.1 with surround sound speakers. Both were on sale and decided on the later. Great choice. Fed-Ex also were a day sooner in both deliveries and returning was easy.

First of all the build and looks are amazing ! very classy looks and I love it !!! . Though the sounds are amazing, I still miss the over head sound experience , I don't think it's crisp enough to get you that Dolby Atmos experience unless I am doing something wrong. Next thing I'd wish it has a DTS:X support. The sound bar will not support Dolby vision pass through which is another con . So I would recommend buying something else for a bit of extra money !!!!. I have checked the Dolby website for atmos supported sound bars and Polk was not listed so I doubt the credibility.

The sound of the soundbar is real good. However, the bass leaves a lot to be desired. The bass is clear but there is no depth or rumble. I had to go with the Bose.

Just finished setting it up and noticed it lacks those crisp highs I was looking for. Also you cannot adjust treble only bass? the voice adjust is useless! Then again I'm using it with my iPhone and my Apple Music playlist. Maybe it may sound better in Dolby Atmos? It was very easy to setup and has a nice finish and weight to it. I will try a movie this weekend and hopefully can make me change my 3 ?? to a 5 ??.

Setup effortless. I compared different soundbars in BestBuy and they're all very good at this price. Why I like the Polk: I can cycle through the options to find the best sound for what I'm watching. May not match what it's "meant" for but best for me. Ex: I use the Music setting to watch/listen to NFL games. Just like it better. Also, Base level can be controlled with remote - also a plus.

I've heard the Polk is for now for about three months. I was very impressed with the sound especially since upgrading from a Bose TV speaker. I love that the subwoofer is connected wirelessly by Bluetooth. This allows me to place the sub in any part of the room and not have to worry about running wires thank God we finally reached that era. Only negatives would be that the build quality of the subwoofer plastic covering which peels easily and a software glitch which mutes the output when woken by the TV. I've checked and can't find any software updates for this unit either.

You can't beat this sound bar for the price. The highs and lows are crystal clear. It's so easy to set up. The sound is amazing and that really fills the room. Polk makes a fine product!
