This is a really affordable fun speaker that has more bass than I anticipated. I bought these as "bookshelf" speakers since I couldn't find any Polk satellite speakers at the time for my rear surrounds and if you have the room, they do an excellent job. The highs are clear and they easily reproduce dynamics. In fact I liked them so much at the price point I bought two more and a used amp so I could have good sounding music in the garage too : ) These speakers are great for surround channels, amp zoned bedrooms, small living rooms, etc. My son runs 5 of these (ES15) and a sub for his 5.1 setup as he needed something balanced between quality, affordability, and able to easy pack up since he lives on base. Polk has been excellent at providing a quality product in every price bracket and we appreciate that. These speakers look great too!

The sound, build and design quality of the Polk S15 is OUTSTANDING. For the the size of the speakers they put out impressive amounts of bass. I would overall give them an Excellent rating.

Bought these to put in the salon of a sailboat, but they were a bit large. Instead, I made them the rear surrounds in my home theater system, and took the OWM3's to the boat. These look and sound great, and match the rest of the all polk speaker system perfectly

I was pleasantly surprised to find Polk Speakers in my search. Many, many years ago I purchased 2 Polk 5JR 54034 speakers and a Powered Sub Woofer. My current purchase is the direct result of my satisfaction of these units.

The speakers sound terrific for their small size. I was a bit worried before I got them that they may not provide enough bass, but they do very well in that respect, and very good sound overall. They look really nice as well and have a quality feel to them. Very reasonable price and quick free delivery just in time for Christmas!

The quality of sound for the money is absolutely astonishing. They could easily price these @ $289.99 Selling them under $220.00, makes people think they are a cheap loudspeaker. Sales and profit may actually improve if they were listed/sold in the $249-289.99 price range

Got these because I was using my surround system for music. Overall they sound good. Really sensitive tweeters. Very dependent on the source material. They can sound great, or overloaded & distorted. Overall I?m satisfied w/ them.

Sounds are fair enough for a medium size room, but there are lacking on wow factor. The cabinet is made with cheap material. The wooden laminate got pulled when I remove the red congratulations sticker they put on them, now its lifted a little bit from the cabinet. Otherwise they are just ok speakers.

Okay, it started with a pair of Signature Series S55 towers for fronts.Was so impressed, ordered an S30 center channel. Also amazing. Decided to add the S15 for rears. This Signature Series if phenomenal! I have this system paired with an H/K AVR and 12? powered sub. The great part of the S15 is that the sum is not greater than the parts. These bookshelf speakers have a very dynamic balance of lows, miss, and highs. The highs, crisp and natural without fuzz or tinny, or too bright. The miss are clear and warm and not over powering. The lows on this speaker are just so good. So much power from such a small package. These would a wonderful option as stand alone fronts. I almost feel bad using such a balanced and wonderful speaker for a rear channel. I connected these to my other H/K 3700 2-channel receiver with a Pro-Ject Carbon EVO turntable and was blown away. I have a very large room with high ceilings (14?) and these little S15 filled the room very well. When using them as A/B speakers with the S55 towers on a 2-channel setup the sound strange that Polk Signature Series create is just phenomenal. It?s so clear, powerful, and natural. The S15 is just a great speaker and a great value. I am so pleased I might order some S20 bookshelf?s and upgrade to a 7.2 setup and get a couple of Polk powered subs. I finally have a grown-up audio system, than you Polk Audio for making this line of speakers at prices that working folks can afford!

Great sound from the S15's. They are small, but great for a mid-sized room. Add a center channel and you have 3.1 receiver that makes watching movies sound great.

I bought these speakers over the S20's because of the more manageable size of the S15's. The S15's are the perfect size and sound great in a 2 channel stereo setup without a subwoofer. I am very satisfied with the sound and quality of construction. They have nice bass, and the sound is not fatiguing to listen too. They also are nice to look at. If you really like loud bass, I would add a subwoofer. For me, however, I like them as is and don't feel like I want more low end. For reference, I am powering these with a Topping MX3. The speakers sound great with this small amplifier and volume is not a problem in a medium sized room. It gets much louder than I would ever use.

I’ve had these speakers about three weeks now as part of a 7.1 setup. Installed in a large two story room, they are paired with a Polk S35 center speaker, four TL3 satellite speakers and a Bic Acoustech PL-200 II (12 inch subwoofer. For music, the combination of the S15s and PL-200 is sonically excellent. I have listened to jazz, rock, reggae, dance, classical and R&B in order to get a complete reference on the speakers. The treble and mid range is clean and clear, while not introducing listening fatigue during lengthy sessions. The S15 bass is punchy while the PL-200 provides bone-rattling low end down to 22Hz. The combination is extremely impressive. At relatively high sound levels, the setup provides a concert or nightclub type experience, and has made listening to my music collection a renewed joy. Also, high resolution YouTube videos of live performances are a pleasure to watch, giving the illusion that you’re present at the live performance. For movies, the speakers, in conjunction with the rest of the setup, provide a real theater type atmosphere. The imaging and clarity are great. In all, I couldn’t be more satisfied with the S15s in this setup. For the quality that you get, they are extremely cost effective. I would recommend them to anyone, especially if paired with a good subwoofer.

I bought these speakers about 10 months ago to try out on my homemade Class A tube amplifiers. While these speakers may not have the exact ratings as their equivalent Klipsch speakers I think I am finding these Polk speakers more comfortable to listen to in my livingroom. I think the Klipsch speakers are a bit too bright for my ears. I must also add I did buy the equivalent Klipsch speakers at the same time as the Polk speakers.

As bookshelf speakers go, these are a little large, but you need size to get a good sound so it's worth the size. I'm using them as surround speakers which is probably overkill.
