Bought a pair of S20 that were refurbished. Great buy. I believe in buying refurbished or open box as they still have the full warranty. I already had a pair of S15 in my workout room. Great sound!!

When I first hooked them up, they sounded so so. However, after a few hours, they really became excellent sound producers. I also thought I had my subwoofer on. I did not! Not only was the sound clear, it also had bass slam. I've had many speakers in my time, and these are right up there with speakers costing 3 to 4 times the cost of these.

These S20?s are an outstanding value, especially as I was able to catch a sale for $249 a pair. I find myself not using the subwoofer much as the bass response is excellent. These are very attractive speakers and the size is just right. I?m very pleased with my purchase!

Well balanced tone especially in the mid and high range when paired with my Mcintosh 1900 receiver. Works well as part of a surround sound set up or in a small living room space. Obviously speakers of this size have limitations if you want thundering bass tones, but It works perfectly for my needs.

I purchased a pair of these on February 23 getting them 2 days later. They replaced a pair of Polk Audio RTi A3's which served their purpose well. After connection and playing my styles of music, I was blown away by their sound qualities. More than enough highs and very good response on the lows where one doesn't overwhelm the other for a well balanced flow of the music. I see why Polk is a leader in this industry. Try a pair and enjoy the show. You won't be disappointed.

Got these as a way to start my living room audio set up. These things are BIG, but they sound excellent and look really nice. The bass is surprisingly full and I'll likely hold off on pairing a subwoofer to these. There are so many options when it comes to speakers, but these consistently got good reviews (deserved) and the price was right. Adorama was great, very fast shipping.

It is hard to find better speakers at this price point (bought an open-box set with a significant discount). These speakers look great, although the simile-wood termination is a simple decal that won't be mistaken with laminated wood termination, it is flat and not "textured' like some of the pictures seem to show but for sure feel solid, sturdy, well built. The sound is also very nice, well defined and "full". The center unit could use larger speakers, it sounds a little bit on the high side for me, but works well when spreading the center channel to the front speakers as well. It is a shame there is no style matching subwoofer in Polk's line-up to complete the set but that is not Polk's forte anyway, tried the PSW505 but was not convinced, finally opted for the SVS PB-1000 and it did the trick, it looks like a "handsomer" relative and sound amazing. Having said that, the front towers do pack quite a bit of a punch and might be able to pull it off in small/closed rooms without the need of a subwoofer. In a larger/open living room they still sound great but need some help to fill the room with the lower freqs.

Incredible detail as can be expected from most Polk speakers, these Signature Series bookshelf speakers, are a perfect addition to take sound for movies and TV shows to a another level. I found the speakers to be a bit biased in the treble when listening with my music The cabinet itself is very sleek and modern looking. I've added these to my 7.1 system as rear's mounted on a custom plate. The bass is surprising powerful but no overwhelming.
