Beautiful speakers and amazing complimentary sound to my other Polk speakers and subwoofers. These speakers are very large, with sound to match. The only thing small about these speakers is the discounted price I got them for.

I absolutely love the sound coming from these S60s. I had been wanting some to replace my S20s for a while, but wouldn't pull the trigger... then Polk put them on sale to make way for the new ES line and I couldn't resist. I have them bi-amped with my Onkyo AVR and they sound wonderful. Richness, fullness. Those terms come to mind as I listen to different types of music. Soundstage has such depth and width. Movies have a theater like quality to them now. I can only imagine that a dedicated amplifier would bring out even more sonic goodness from these speakers. I'm giving four stars for some of the lower quality materials in the feet and the binding posts. I know at this price point I can't expect everything, but honestly those were my only disappointments in these speakers. Sound wise I have absolutely no complaints. They live up to my view of Polk being best bank for your buck.

Very impressed with the quality, workmanship, the wood grain is perfect. Then the sound, superb, sharp clarity, the music sounds alive in my living room, the music ?? is as I'm there with the band. Then the movies ??, I started to play all my collection, tons to play as I was stuck with an older speaker setup and lost in the sound now I am able to hear what my ears are meant to hear.

From small ensemble jazz to Godzilla laying waste to the countryside, this great speaker fills my world with all the great music and movie sound, powerfully delivered, that I need and desire.

If you have a smaller room you won?t need a subwoofer. Our subwoofer was a little delayed so we had two of these for our left and right channel with the S35 for the center and the sound for music and movies was excellent. Just needed the subwoofer for that extra little bit

These things are much bigger than I anticipated. They have amazing sound and it doesn't take much to push them. I only have 80wrms running them and they work amazing. Waiting to upgrade amp and see what they can really do.

I?ve always had the big 12?s and 15 inch 70s style floor speakers and every speaker I ever looked at that where built like these are sounded terrible?. My cerwin vegas popped beyond repair this time so I decided to buy a brand new set and I am absolutely blown away by the way these sound without a dedicated subwoofer they are amazing and the mids and highs are crisp and clear seriously debating on buying another set and replacing the 15inch Oklahomas That I have in my basement they are definitely worth the money sounds amazing and looks really good as well

Fantastic sound. It has a break in period, but it handles highs and lows very nicely. Paired with Denon 4700 receiver and atmos dollby setup. All movies sound just like m9vie theater...

I've had several Polk speakers over the years and, to be honest, I was looking to try something new. But I couldn't pass these up at this price - and I think they look very cool in white! These are replacing an old pair of RT800 towers and though they spec pretty similar these sound much better, with clearer highs and tighter bass. I know it's all about the sound, but these also look sharp with their rounded edges and full fabric grills. (Speaking of, Polk should include a pic with the grills on - they look great!) Yes, these are fairly big, but they sound big as well. You won't need a sub, at least not for music.

I ordered a pair of black S60's. One showed up early the other showed up days later, box ripped up pretty bad I could actually see most of the speaker. customer service offered to replace it. I decided to hook them up. I use a rotel RB1572 amp and RC1580 preamp for a lots of clean power. Im putting together an old fashioned stereo system. These speakers exceeded my expectations. I listen all types of music these speakers sound amazing imho. The bass which fires downword at the floor is surprising they really boom this design makes room placement ez. They're nice looking and sturdy built. Magnetic grills are a bit flimsy but.... A week after my purchase they went on sale customer service refunded the difference back into my account. Girlie, thank you for your patience and your help. I apologize for taking out the shipping fiasco on you. Thank you Greg

So far so good. I need to have the s60 for a year, before I know durabiity and breaking in sound quality gets better. I use it for the center channel speaker cause my other 2 polk center channel speakers, that are good low budget models. Were not opening up the nuances of movies and music to fil my space with awesome clear sound. They are now my front speakers. I am impressed by the look of this speaker. My God! My home Theater now has gone to the next level! Thanks Polk for this fantastic upgrade.

I'm using these speakers in a standard 2 speaker music installation. They are very accurate in reproducing music; however, they won't blow you away if you insist on booming bass. The bass, in my opinion, is totally sufficient and very tight. I don't think you could find a better speaker at this price point. I'm running them with a 100 watt per channel Sherwood receiver with Crutchfield banana clip connections. The sound is more than I could have asked for. I doubt that I'll ever need the power or full potential of these speakers. If you love great stereo sound, but don't love the high prices, you can't go wrong with the S60'S. Thanks to Polk for making great speakers without breaking your wallet. Buy them!

I liked my Monitor 70 II's, Because of those I had to try the S60. No regrets, thinking about getting another set. These are very nice, impressive appearance sound is great, music is sharp and has detail to the sound. And you can crank them.

I bought the S60s back in May through Crutchfield. After a lot of reading / research I was impressed with the S60s frequency response and power handling capability. These are my front L/R in my 7.2.4 system. They are paired with the S35 Center, S20 Surrounds, and S15 Rear Surrounds, HTS-10 Sub x2, and four MC80s in the ceiling for my ATMOS ... can't say enough good things about the speakers ... all anchored by the S60s up front. Huge room filling sound ... clear and sharp even as I increase the volume. They handle everything my Denon 3700H / Emotiva XPA-11 Gen 3 throw at them. I've got the system hooked up with a Samsung 82" temporally for the fall so I can live with the gear a bit before I remodel into a proper home theater. Polk Audio build quality, engineering, and sound is top notch. Liked the Polks so much, I purchased the RTi A9s for two of my rooms upstairs, can't say enough good things about Polk Audio!! Highly recommended to family and friends!

Bought the brown version of these and they definitely are an attractive speaker in any room. Sound is typical Polk quality. Fills the room with amazing sound weather it be movies or music.
