Purchased one for myself to hold my cell phone [flip], not waterproof camera, car keys, DL and credit card for the beach, lake or hiking. LOVED it so much, I purchased 3 as gifts for friends. Then another 2 for guests when we go out on the lake. Yes, it floats. Yes, it is lightweight and with the carbinder it attaches to a backpack for day hikes or onto a belt when white water rafting. LOVE this product.

The interior dimensions are quite a bit smaller because the liner is really thick. You can't really remove it. I ended up having to cut it up. I don't know if the waterproofness is compromised but I had no option.

This case was exactly what I was looking for! It has a thick rubber lining inside, with a waterproof rubber seal all around, protected by a hard plastic case. And it is a Pelican, of course! I use this "Emergency kit" to hold my Epipen, emergency inhaler and antihistamines in case of another extreme case of anaphylactic shock, which sent me to the emergency room before.

This is awesome to keep my iPhone 6s, Chapstick, money and whatever else I wanna keep dry DRY! Just be sure to attach it to something as I am pretty sure it does not float!

This 1040 Pelican case fits like it was made for my Samsung S4. I have an Otter Box case but it does not protect from water. This case fits like a glove with my otter box still attached to the phone. Snug but not tight. I can reverse the Otter Box and it still fits. Also the clear cover allows me to see the screen on my phone. Perfect!!

It perfectly fits 10 batteries for my Canons 5D II and 50D. Or, the AA battery holder for the camera grip and six of the camera batteries. The red color itself if kind of a deep color, almost burgandy. I think next time I will go with the yello. It would be easier to see in a large, dark camera band. The padding is good and the plastic is very strong. I dropped it already once, and not a ding on it. But the lasp did open and the batteries scattered all over the place, but no damage to them because the case took all the pounding. I cannot stress this enough: make sure you buy it specifically for something that will fit. It IS bulky for how much space it provides (by necesity because of the protective requirements), so make sure you don't have any wasted space. I bought the larger size also, but I have nothing that fits it right. Some things, like the batteries, are too small, or the case itself is just small enough not to fit larger items. So make sure you measure carefully. Also, if you need a little more protection, or something to keep things more snuggly, the "black foamie thing" (google it) works great. Cut it to measure and glue it in.

This box, with rubber liner is an absolutely Perfect, I mean PERFECTLY Snug fit for up to 6 Diabetic Injectable (Levemir & Novalog) and room for a small and slim ice pack, or 4 pens with room for a dozen needles, and ice pack. Actually I took one of those re-freezable ice bag packs, cut it open and squeezed out some of the gel into a sandwich ziplock bag and a snack sized ziplock bag, flattened them out and froze them. Put in just enough to keep them about 3/8" to no more than 1/2" thick. PERFECT FIT, I tell you!
