Pelican Protector Long Case Sensitive equipment needs protection, and since 1976 the answer has been the Pelican Protector Case. These cases are designed rugged, and travel the harshest environments on earth. Against the extreme cold of the arctic or the heat of battle, Pelican cases have survived.Made in the USA, these tough cases are designed with an automatic purge valve, that equalizes air pressure, a watertight silicone O-ring lid, over-molded rubber handles and stainless steel hardware.

Used for transporting music equipment on airplanes - I can finally check my valuable and fragile effects unites and microphones.

This case is a great size and weight, love the wheels and handles.  It is easy to carry and fit in cars / taxis / etc.

A few cons:

- when pulling this case using the wheels, it tends to wobble back and forth a bit - the wheels are a little too close together for ideal balance.  The 1720 case doesn't have this problem.

- the wheel wells cut into the usable interior space - I had to order a 1720 for the keyboard I was planning to put in this because with the wheel wells, it didn't keep 1 inch of padding all around the edges :(

- the latches can be a bit tricky to close - you have to make sure the top and bottom are perfectly aligned

Well designed case with some minor flaws

Although I do own guns I purchased this case to protect an autographed baseball bat while flying on a plane. The bat is valuable to me, and you're not allowed to bring it inside the plane with you. I am very familiar with Pelican cases, and I trust them with my guns, equipment, and valuables.
