The item arrived packaged in a good quality see-through bag inside the factory box. I removed the Pelican from the box and bag and was very impressed with the quality of the case. The wheels moved effortlessly - even on my carpet. The latches were easy to undo (push in on the button and lift the latch up), but won't come loose during transport. My only complaints (and these would in no way deter me from buying Pelican products again) would be that 1. Pelican typically makes their padlock holes too small for most padlocks, so I had to drill the holes out to make them wide enough for the Master Locks I wanted to use. and 2. I would like to see Pelican start using metal around the padlock holes (like SKB Cases) instead of resin. Pelican cases are durable, but metal offers a little more piece of mind.

With all the bad media lately surrounding the mishandling of luggage by the Frontier Airlines baggage handlers, I was, unfortunately, scared to send my gear under the plane, but necessity dictated otherwise. I purchased the iM2975 and plucked the lining in the correct fashion and hoped for the best. I am happy to say, that my gear was safe, protected and didn't suffer any damage during my trip. I am more than pleased with the Pelican iM2975.

This case is used to transport special electronics and is perfect. The seal keeps out dust and water very well. I really love the latches that are easy to use and very sturdy. I can't think of much to change. With the design, it doesn't get much better for transporting equipment.

Bought this for shipping my equipment. This is about the largest size you can still ship, mail or check on to an airplane that doesn't weigh so much you can't add equipment! It weighs somewhere over 30 lbs, so I can fit just under 40 lbs of equipment. With a couple of silica gel desiccant packs my expensive equipment will be safe in the humid harsh environments of the volcanic islands where I live. Pelican cases have proven their durability to me and the world in general, so when I need the most secure storage available, I go Pelican. The extendable handle works great for mobility and there are sturdy handles on all sides for lifting. I got the pick and pull foam and there are plenty of layers. I knocked off one star because the wheels on my Pelican tool box 0450 are better, so I know they could have done better or larger on the wheels.

It fits my Celestron CGEM mount using the original foam in the packing crate. Just like a custom case at a fraction of teh cost.

We buid solar generators, lots of em. Adorama literally has the best price on this case in the US so we try to buy from them. This is the case for anything rugged!

Great for international travel where rough handling of equipment cases is the norm. Very protective of the most sensitive equipment. Would have liked slightly larger wheels. Other than that it is a great product at a great price

The latches are well constructed and more importantly, well protected. I have had some cases be destroyed by baggage handlers when latches are busted up. These are much better protected and have worked well.
