About Pulsar G2+

The Pulsar Challenger G2+ 1x21 Night Vision Monocular can be used as a night vision monocular, night vision goggles (if set up on a Head Mount; the device can be used either for the right or the left eye) and a night attachment for a day optical riflescope or a collimator sight. The device is also suitable for quality night photography. The body of the device is hermetically sealed which enables use in inclement weather conditions (fog, heavy shower, dusty environment, sand storm etc.). A serious advantage is a large eye relief which enables glass-wearers to comfortably use the device without taking off glasses. Specially designed optics coupled with Gen.2+ tube and wide-angled five lens eyepiece deliver a crisp and detailed image.

The Challenger G2+ 1x21 is equipped with a wide-angled short range infrared illuminator but it also has a matching site to install auxiliary, more powerful, focusable IR Illuminators Pulsar. The device and the built-in IR illuminator are switched on/off with the help of a switch. Design of the switch prevents the IR illuminator from accidental activation (to avoid disclosure of the observer).

Range of applications of the Challenger G2+ 1x21 is determined by its weight/dimensions characteristics which include nocturnal foot or bicycle walks, night orientation (especially if used with the Head Mount), tourism, hunting, guarding of industrial facilities and private property, military and sport games, patrolling and rescue operations.2nd Generation: 2nd Generation or Gen 2 is primarily used by law enforcement or for professional applications. The primary difference between Gen 1 and Gen 2 is the addition of a micro-channel plate (MCP). The MCP is located directly behind the photocathode, where it amplifies electrons, resulting in a brighter and thus sharper image.
