After two years of rigorous testing and refinement with artists, clubs, and engineers from the electronic music community, the MODEL 1 6-Channel Premium Analog DJ Mixer emerges as a top-tier performance instrument. Co-designed by Richie Hawtin and engineered by Andy Rigby-Jones, this professional DJ mixer is built to empower artists to PLAYdifferently.The MODEL 1 stands out with its six fully-featured input channels and two stereo returns, all housed in a compact frame. This premium analog DJ mixer boasts features not found on any comparable device, including an input pre-amplifier drive control, a hybrid filter/swept bell EQ, a dual cue system, a dual mixer linking system, and a fully balanced Tascam DB25 connector system.The MODEL 1 is a purely analog mixer, incorporating technology typically found in high-end studio consoles. It features a fully balanced mix buss, zero crossing detection for seamless filter & master EQ routing, and high voltage differential power rails.The mixer's two AUX controls send the channel signal to the Aux mix outputs, perfect for use with external effects processors or local monitors. It also includes two basic stereo channels for use as return inputs from external effects processors or other sources. Each return features TRIM to adjust the return signal, input DRIVE circuit, and CUE routing to both Cue A and Cue B.The MODEL 1 is equipped with three high-performance phono preamps, optimized for the club environment to minimize the tonal imbalance between vinyl and digital audio, and to eliminate sub-frequency feedback. Each phono input has its own individual turntable earth binding for greater flexibility.The mixer's custom TKD 60mm faders ensure long life and smooth operation, while the Precision Sculpting EQ and Contouring Low & High Pass Filters allow for precise audio shaping. The unique Analog Overdrive feature on every input allows the user to adjust the level at which the channel pre-amplifier clips the input signal, creating harmonic distortion as a creative effect.The MODEL 1 also features a dual cue system, a mixer link system, a balanced mix bus, master high & low pass resonant filters, a three-band master EQ, and a two-band booth EQ. All internal routing utilizes zero-crossing detection system to minimize audio switching artifacts.Built in the UK with partners DigiCo and Allen & Heath, the MODEL 1 is constructed with an alloy/steel chassis for maximum strength and minimum weight, making it ideal for touring, club, and performance situations. The mixer also offers the utility of powering with dual supplies, a feature found on premium live sound and recording consoles, for greater security.With its smooth intuitive controls, warm pure analog circuitry, and high-quality components, the MODEL 1 6-Channel Premium Analog DJ Mixer is a testament to uncompromising build quality and beautifully warm analog sound.
