ELITE Luggage

Best Luggage I have ever owned. I travel frequently and have never had any problems with the hardware. The Enhanced Travel System was such a blessing. I now have a complete set of luggage for a lifetime.

Good Quality - Fairly heavy

No worries about this thing coming open in transit. Solid construction. Pushes 20 pounds empty (hard to make 50# total weight for flights when full).

The concept of pelican protection at a lighter weight and without the "expensive gear inside" looks is compelling. Unfortunately, the weight specifications are about 4 pounds off- it's about 19.6 lbs empty and about 23.4 with the Enhanced Travel System (not 15.6 and 19.4)! That was frustrating to discover, as it was one of the main reasons for the purchase. It still would have been worth keeping if it didn't give me such a fright, arriving on location for it's first trip and the lock wouldn't open. Fortunately it didn't take me too long to realize it had reverted to the default 000 combo.

The Pelican EL30 30" Elite Progear Gray and Black Vacationer Luggage with Enhanced Travel System features lightweight design and it has recessed press and pull latches. Double wall polypropylene with polycarbonate trim can withstand extreme loads up to 1500 lbs. It meets airline checked baggage regulations (less than 62").

Pelican Luggage features a watertight O-Ring Seal and an automatic pressure equalization valve which makes it waterproof; its lightweight design and patented Injection Molded HPX high performance resin makes it crushproof.
