Returned for refund

I really wanted this to work. The build quality feels really nice and it's clearly well made. However, the headband was too tight for my head, which isn't absolutely huge. I tried it with Skype and Jabber; the call controls didn't work at all. The headset would bleep but calls were disconnected. The volume control didn't change the computer volume, only the volume within the headset - therefore if the computer was set at 10% the maximum volume I could use was 10%. I've used other headsets which change the computer volume, so it would put it up to 100% obviously. I tried all of these functions on three different PCs but with the same result every time. The Bluetooth functionality is good and would have let me listen to music/podcasts from my phone the switch to the USB connection when on a call. Upgrading the firmware didn't make any difference at all. I'd purchased the unified communications version rather than the Skype for Business. Ultimately, as it couldn't really handle phone calls I've reluctantly exchanged it for a headset from a competitor, which is inferior in terms of its build quality and functionality, but it does work for taking phone calls.

Disappointed

Was not compatible even though it says it is on the capability chart. Had to return it and pay myself to return even though I had aleardy bought another headset from you. Our business will not be ordering from you again.

Awesome for both computer & phone

Plantronics makes great headphones, but this one is perfect for the home office. The sound quality is amazing for video recording, video teleconferences and a mobile phone (via blue tooth - no more sounding like you are in a tunnel. I needed a double-duty headset and this fills the bill. Also the ability for it to automatically pick up a call when you put the headphones on is especially useful. For using it with my mobile phone, I simply keep the headset plugged into a powered USB and then connect it directly to my computer when needed.

Good Headphones... Horrible Options

I purchased the C720 headphones after using the predecessor for many years for business online conference calls. This model does not allow the user to disable the Mute on/off voice prompts even when using their Plantronics Hub. The headset is great but after contacting tech support they admitted that the voice prompts and tones cannot be turned off. Why in the world would I want this interruption while on a conference call that distracts from my attention from the call? Obviously they did not obtain user input when designing this model. But the fact that they do not allow you to turn off this feature through the software is just ridiculous. They have the ability, they just choose NOT to allow users to turn it off for whatever reason they may have and they do not clearly identify this in their sales pages. I've enjoyed Plantronics for business headphones for years, but this certainly has me shopping for other brands.

Overall good product, need cleaning protocol

Bought in October '18 and using them for or. Good product working as described. Called support to inquire what the cleaning protocol was. have been using antibacterial wipes and the black cover is no longer black. Support didn't have any recommendations except to use alcohol wipes.

Assume all soft parts will disintegrate

I have had this a few years now and use it primarily for skype calls on a Windows PC - it is very reliable and clear, and I wish all skype users had something similar and would quit shouting at their laptops. Negative points: (1) price is ludicrous now (2) the earpad covers disintegrate fast, and the entire thin film cover of the top band has disintegrated. I have now pulled this off (easy - it was falling to shreds after 5 yrs, just decomposing) leaving just the stuff underneath e.g. foam on the earpads (3) little niggle - I always forget that to pair on bluetooth you have to turn off, then turn on *and hold for 5 more seconds in one single action* - how unintuitive is that. (4) 'you look like an insect' - well, that's sisters for you. I have very mixed feelings about it, but it really works well and I really miss it when I don't have it, and it is basically well made.

Perfect Headset - Value for Money - Features

I have been using this headset for the past 5 years. This is one of the best headsets I have used in the office. I also pair it with my Phone via Bluetooth to listen to music, when at work. It's a great product, but over the years, the Ear Cushions have worn out, and I am having difficulties sourcing a replacement Leatherette Ear Cushion out here in the UAE (Dubai. Appreciate if I can get some contacts where I can purchase some replacement ear Cushions

Issues with the wires

I have had this set for some time. It works really well. However, despite always using the case, the wiring into the volume control split the outer cover headset side. Difficult to repair. Very disappointing.

Love the flexibility and clarity

Upgraded from the pervious model and love this one even better since it has the mobile option. I no longer have to take my headset off when answering my cell phone. Love the fact I can even play music through the headset as well.

Battery allowing bluetooth failed TWICE

This product is terrible - avoid. I have just gone through my second one, and both have suffered the same problem connecting via bluetooth after about 10-12 months of use (not heavy). One day the bluetooth just stops working. The headset works as long as its plugged into USB on computer, but no longer works with my cell. A real hassle - and Plantronics won't stand by their product. They have lost a customer - actually 4 - forever.

Good sound, but you cannot turn off notifications

Every time I mute this headset a voice proclaiming "Mute On" or "Mute Off" in addition to an audio warning is sounding and delaying my reply several seconds. This makes the headset unusable. Plantronics refuses to fix this.

Excellent wired and bluetooth

Super everyday headset I use on at least three conference calls each day. I have the freedom to use the USB connection for VOIP with Webex and other services, or connect to my cell via Bluetooth (it's not simple getting it to work Bluetooth with the PC, but it does work.) It's comfortable, and very adjustable, folks hear me very clearly. I occasionally take long calls, and jump in the car while they are still running. Super - and highly recommended.

Really, really comfortable. The envy of the office

I've had my Blackwire 720 for around 2 years. I use them for Skype calls for at least 50% of the working day and have always found them very comfortable; unlike the 320 my employer provided. The Skype features, like auto-answer and mute, are really handy. Whilst the Bluetooth feature is handy for listening to music from my phone, it is a pity there isn't a replaceable battery or longer charge life (I have never got the claimed 10 hours of talk time) - as I would like a bit more freedom to walk around the office, but don't want to switch to a Star Trek-like earpiece. My only disappointment is that after about 3 years of years use, the detachable cable is starting to fray at the non-USB end and I'm worried that it might suddenly stop working. I guess this is down to excessive connecting/disconnecting and stuffing into a laptop bag (the carry case has always been a bit too bulky for my minimalist laptop bag.
