I have never posted a review online before, but I was so dissatisfied with how the customer service people dealt with me I had to post this. I have 3 Voyager Legend bluetooth products. One works great. One works poorly - everyone keeps telling me I sound like I am a long way away from the phone. The third works fine, but the rubber split at the top which makes it hard to keep it on your ear. When I called Plantronics on 4/2/20 to find out what could be done re the 2 that had problems, I encountered the most passive-aggressive customer service person I have ever dealt with. He was clearly unhappy about having to work that day, and I finally asked to talk to a supervisor. After waiting about 10 minutes while he said he went looking for one, he said no supervisor was available but that he would have one call me. Here we are - 5 days later and I still haven't heard from anyone at Plantronics. I will think long and hard about spending any more money with these people.

Short battery, does not fit well

Battery says 6 hours when fully charged, but only lasts 3. If it says 3 hours remaining it is about to die. Does not fit my ear well. I constantly need to adjust it and it hurts if it stays on too long. Jt is just too big. Changed the ear pieces out several times with no difference.

Unreliable

When it works it is great. Unfortunately I have nearly constant issues with mine. I have had a few replacements over the last 4 years as they simply stopped working. When sitting at my workstation the current one, at times and without warning, will say through the headset "pc disconnected" then a few seconds later say "pc connected" and few seconds later will repeat the disconnect / connect cycle. It will go on doing this repeatedly until I am ready to throw the thing out of the window. Some days it is ok and other days it is not.

The best Bluetooth!

Can’t say enough about this Bluetooth. This is my second purchase. I had my first one for 5 years. Love the clarity and So easy to use. Tell it to call someone without touching your phone. Answer your calls without touching your phone. It will tell you who is calling. Easy to charge and comfortable to wear! Wouldn’t buy any other brand.

Great Battery, very light and crystal clear audio.

Long battery life helps mobile workers like me stay connected on the road for longer. Really powerful Noice cancellation on the mics allow me to be connected from any place (airport, café or even a noisy home office It's so light weight, sometimes I don't even know it is on my ears - I fear I might walk into a shower with it!

Keeps losing connection to my iPhone!

Randomly, this Voyager will either lose connection or become invisible to my iPhone. This happens in the middle of calls, when initiating calls and when listening to music, etc. Very ANNOYING!!!

Serious disappointment

When it works - it works lovely. Premium product - ALL of the things they SAY about it are true. Too bad the things the Don't say about it are a deal breaker. Unfortunately it is Such a struggle to charge this premium priced product I am forced to shop for another solution. Why would anyone not place a simple, durable and reliable micro USB connector on here is bizarre. Instead someone dreams up a pie in the sky contraption, attaches it to a sales pitch and lets the consumer be the guinea pig at the cost of hundreds of dollars. Plantronics makes premium products and will likely purchase another plantronics product but this is a dud. Do not buy this you will end up with so much frustration that you will shop for another product like I am.

Range is very short

The range is 10 meters, "in an open field" as tech support put it. I cannot go in to the next room from my office and have decent reception. The range is much shorter than my old headset. The sales pages for this product do not give the range.

Must Have a Bad One!

I purchased the Legend after my husband suggested it. He lives for Plantronic Bluetooth. The first couple of months it worked get but now most of the time I don’t know if it’s on or not because it won’t say on and how many hours are left on the headset! I am beyond frustrated! I get tired of family saying they can’t hear me all they hear is staticky noise! Wish I had my receipt I would take it back. My husband seems to think I just got a bad one because he has 3 or 4 of them and have never had a problem!

Great when it works.

For a time, this was one of the best headsets I've owned. But it completely died 1 year and two weeks after purchase. Which is two weeks after the warranty runs out. For this reason, I wouldn't purchase again nor buy from platronics.

Great earpiece, I've had mine for about 5 years.

I bought it through B&H Photo in NYC. I had one previously that actually, physically broke. Both have performed exceptionally well. The only thing I would suggest is to provide the actual measurements of the ear tips on the product description. I don't know what size mine are and I need a new ear tip pack.

great headset - but USB has issues

I bought the microsoft version in May to use with LYNC. It worked very well until a week or so ago. Now the USB is failing to pair to the headset. I've scoured blogs, online help files, etc for a solution, and all suggestions fail. I'm afraid I will need to purchase another USB as I see in help files I can pair a USB purchased later for use with headsets w/o USB - like ones purchased for phone only. So now I'm on the hunt for a USB that works with the Voyager Legend UC. I'm hoping that the USB issue I am having now is not a common one and that a new USB will be much more reliable.

Stability of product

I have owned three Plantronics bluetooth products based on this design. I have found them to be more comfortable than any other device of its kind. I have owned both the pro-plantronics and the PLT_Legend. I feel like I got lucky twice because the last one I owned had a serious connectivity problem while hosting phone calls with samsong phones. It would randomly "connect/disconnect for no reason. From what I've read in these reviews, the issue seems to relate Plantronics devices having compatibility issues with other devices. Sadly, because I love the style and overall design of these Plantronics devices, I will soon purchase another one and it will last until the housing/casing deteriorates. This Voyager Legend UC is the one I will buy.

Good Clearity and Volume

I bought this about two years ago to use in my work. Everyday I pair it with a Motorola DP4801e every day for an 8 1/2 hour shift. The headset works great with the two way radio. I presents a clear volume loud enough to hear in very noisy conditions. The only draw back is the battery. I clock in about 2:30 in the afternoon and by 7:30 that evening the battery wants to be charged. I usually charge while I am eating dinner and it's good to go until the end of shift at 11:00 PM. I love this headset and would buy another. I have recommended it to several co-workers. I wish Plantronics could somehow increase the battery time even though it recharges in about 30 minutes.

Excellent noise cancelling with easy use

The only issue i had today after years of use with no problem art all - is once connected to the mobile phone the earpiece only starting ringing like a phone call was coming in but no call was coming in. I couldnt stop ithe earpiece from ringing unless I turned it off. Kept doing the same thing hence my post for any advise.

Something wrong with plantronics hub

Hi, I am an happy possessor of a samsung s8 phone, that works fine. I am an happy possessor of a dell top-of-the-edge pc, that works fine. Therefore, I assume I can't change the language on my voyager legend just for a failure of the software made for this specific feature, Plantronics Hub, which I installed 3 different times and run many more, just to be sure. In the hub, with the headset connected, I change the Language and apply the new setting. Everything seems to work fine, and the feat comes to end with success. Then I unplug the headset and - is still in english. I will be very pleased to give 5 stars and a positive review about your product, if only I can do this minimal, but fundamental (for my father), feat. Thank you for the help.

Issues connecting to PC

I often have issues with the headset connecting to my PC. The blue light will try on and flash a couple times then turn off and the phone will not connect. I have tried different USB ports on my laptop and have the same issue.

The best blue-tooth I've ever owned....

Going on 2yrs now and for my wife 1yr. We're experiencing excellent service from this device. It's sturdy and the sound quality is excellent between us and our friends. Talk time is very sufficient we're talking close to an 8hr day at work. The charge time for these bad boys is like, we get a full 7hr charge in about 30 minutes. Can you believe that? I don't know exactly how this device could be upgraded (although I haven't tried the other series. But it seems most other reviews I've seen are from ppl who have this model. I think it's well worth the price and it's stylish too. This is in my opinion, a quality product compared to competitors (I can't mention bc of guide lines) I've been through the last 10 yrs. I'm staying with this model.

Great bluetooth, poor charging system

I am currently on my 2nd voyager. My first was used everyday for roughly 2 years. The only reason I bought another one was the battery was beginning to go bad and it would barely hold a charge for 1 day. In the beginning I could use it for several days without charging, but in the end it was daily and if I forgot to charge it over night it would not last the day. Sound quality is great, the other end of the phone hears you just fine. It is comfortable to wear all day, there were sometimes it would make my inner ear sore, but I think that was more my fault than anything else. Usually I left it kind of loose in my ear and when a call came in I would reposition it for better sound quality. The biggest problem with this item and the only reason it didn't get 5 stars was because of the chargers. The chargers are specific and if the connection is not right it will not charge. I have never liked the charging system, it would be so much better if it was just a micro usb port, but the sound and battery life is good enough for me to ignore the problematic charging system. This is the best blue tooth device that I have ever used.

Malfunction

My agency bought the Voyager Legend to go with our new desk phones about year ago. Loved the setting. It was light weight and their was no cords to hassle with. After about a month I would walk away from my office and come back after 5-10 minutes do to a meeting or something and their would be several missed calls. My wireless ear set never rang or beeped. I notified our IT Bureau of the issue and they replaced it with a new one (some type an style). Within another month the same thing happened to the new one. I made sure that their was no updates or anything that I needed to do (their was nothing). So, once again I notified my IT Bureau and they said they had no clue what the issue was. I asked several others that walk away from their desks if they was having the same issue and they was. Just to be clear I am still in range for my phone to pick up.

8yrs using Voyager series and still impressed...

I started with the Voyager Pro UC 8 years ago, then eventually upgraded to the Voyager Legend (I've also been using a CS540 with my VoIP phone for work for about the same time, and Plantronics has yet to disappoint. The The Voyager Legend has been a SOLID performer in connectivity and sound quality (both directions). The only times I've had to replace my headset was when one was lost and another broke ...quickly stuffed it in my back pocket (with mic-boom out) to take care of something, then promptly forgot and sat on it - such a sad moment for me. Until recently that is; my last headset actually had an odd issue that occurred out of the blue, and it wouldn't even connect to my PC via USB so there was no way to update/reset the firmware either. Well, I recalled good experience a few years ago with Plantronics support regarding a couple devices for folks at another office, so I was confident things would work out. And, AGAIN the Plantronics team met and exceeded expectation - they were efficient and knowledgeable (and understanding from an end-user perspective), we got to a determination on quickly, and my replacement was shipped next-day as soon as they received the defunct device. Yes, I had to pay to mail it, but it was worth well more than the tiny $3 postage fee to have a no-hassle support process and not have to *purchase a replacement.)

no volume on phone, lousy technical support

I bought my unit about 2 years ago , and after one year it's stopped working on my phone ,the people can not hear me, I explained this to the technical support people and they suggested to buy a new one since my warranty expired, no one was able to tell me why on the PC the volume is fine ,but in the phone is lousy

Good Features can work only if u know magic

I got the Voyager Legend UK for work, the Enhanced Windsmart never works, people complain about the voice quality, i cannot keep my windows open during calls even if it is hot indoors. shame the support is also not of any use, they closed my case the same day i opened it. Case: 06324008 Subject: Sensor Question / Description: hi, i was told that my headset has wind sensor inbuilt , however i have lots of complains about my voice quality . would need some help in sorting this out. You can also review our online knowledge base at any time to find solutions for many commonly asked questions. why would someone log a case if they can find the answer in the knolwdge base, fundamental understanding issue. ....no use.. the device is in sitting on my shelf for more than 5 months.....
