I use the slider and motor control daily in studio
I do a lot of product photography and video presentations.
This slider and motor control combo is solid, convenient and silky smooth.
If you're making on-camera audio recordings you will pick up some motor noise, particularly if it's panning fast. Off camera audio is highly recommended when using this rig.
The slider itself is top drawer and solid, although I almost never use the straight run side, the curve allows me to make the product appear to be rotating instead of the camera sliding.
It's a perfect match and the controller bracket keeps it at the perfect angle.
Improvements? I wish they offered a solid tripod support system for easily adjustable height and firm enough that there is no movement as the rig reaches the extreme ends. I currently use two light stands, one at each end in order to support with zero movements.
I definitely recommend it, OH! diagonal is only good to about a 15% incline without slipping, the motor seems to have the power, just not the traction.
