It works.

For the money this is a good value. They're made pretty well, although not necessarily always perfectly. I've bought three total (two recently, one four years ago); one had edge binding which was not sewn down properly in one spot, but it didn't affect its use. I set them up in my studio and leave them assembled, and they are fine. I bought the eggcrate grids to go with them. The grids are a little too wide but you just have to scrunch them a bit in the corners to make them fit.

Does not fit the Studio Max III

I purchased this item for my Photogenic Studio Max III strobes, [...] The fitting is pretty loose. I had to wrap several feet of tape around the Ring to get it to fit right. In my opinion, Photogenic needs to get its Quality Assurance right.

Use in pro studio for hairlight/rimlight - probably should have stuck with SB series or other brand
