Design Defect, Profoto should recall these batteries
These batteries have serious design flaw that prevented them from charging if left depleted for a while.
You will see consistently that Profoto B2 users complain the battery won't charge. This could happen to entirely new battery (i.e. dead on arrival) or batteries that are only used couple of times.
If you don't charge them every couple of months, they WILL be dead.
This is a serious design flaw that Profoto never acknowledges and still selling these bad batteries.
It's ridiculous.

5 batteries and all had a very short life
I bought 5 of these batteries 2.5 years ago. They have a two year warranty. One failed and was replaced in the warranty period. Two others failed just outside the warranty period, the remaining two are almost useless. I used the batteries in moderate temperatures and recharged on average once per week. The B2 lights are great, but the batteries have huge issues. My battery investment lasted just over two years. I have read many accounts of people who share my experience with these batteries. Profoto bills itself as the best in the industry and charges accordingly. These batteries are definitely sub par.

Easy and breezy
I love these batteries. They don’t last a crazy long time especially on a higher power output setting but they charge really fast and are very easy to pop in and out of the pack.

Long lasting and fast recycle
I got two of these to have backups. I like how long the charge lasts. You get a lot of flashes from one battery.

Extra Juice
I would recommend this product. Having a couple extra batteries is a must for me. I like knowing I have backups for unexpected longer shoots. Peace of mind is key.
