I love profoto, but I have to charge every 2 hours the batteries. I am wedding photographer and it makes me change the batteries a lot for a long day of wedding. Little disappointed

I like the size of this battery. It's an easy carry and the battery life is long lasting. I can make it through a full photo shoot without having to change out the battery. Glad I purchased it. I love profoto equipment. This was worth the money.

The A1 batteries are very good and offer very fast recycling and are easy to change quickly. However, I am a bit disappointed with their capacity. I own four A1 batteries and two A1's. I own three Nikon SB-910 and power them with Panasonic eneloop pro AA batteries. With both flashes set to full power, the A1 recycles in 2 seconds, the the SB-910 in 3 seconds. However, in my unscientific experience, I find the Eneloops last noticeably longer. It would be nice if Profoto offered one of both of the following. 1) a larger capacity battery 2) an external pack, but don't think this is possible given there is no port on the A1. Overall, the A1 battery is very good..... but for my use, I'd really like to see 30 - 50% more capacity.

I am now using the Profoto A1 both on and off camera. It has both wonderful on camera hard light as well as softer with the diffuser and additional on flash soft bounce hood. Off camera it works as part of my system with my B1x Units. It offers a great kicker or backlight in a location or studio setting. The most interesting feature of the A1 is the round fall off of light that is truly unique. The additional battery is great for location shooting and I find that they charge quicker than I expected. An extra battery can be a life saver when I forget to recharge before or after a shoot. Must have.

As a event photographer, I am constanlty taking pictures and having a second battery on hand is always a great idea. This last me couple of hours until I was done with the event. I really recommend it.

One of my concerns with switching from the small flashes that require AA batteries (and a battery pack on top of that) to the new A1 was battery life. After photographing two weddings and an engagement session with the A1 system I am 100% on board. This battery lasts longer and the refresh time is WAY faster! This battery will also get a full charge in about an hour. No more AA batteries for me!

This was my first time using the A1 for an outdoor venue and it performed flawlessly. The wedding was held at 4 pm outside on a sunny day in Jamaica. I was able to shoot around 1000 shots both on full and and low power in TTL. The battery meter had about a quarter left on the gauge. It never overheated like my Nikon SB 900 flashes would and never missed a shot. The zoom on the A1 was great to have even in auto. I have two in my bag, one for a backup and didn't need it. At $ it's worth the money to get that shot.

The Best. As a wedding photographer, I just can't have loss of batter power, loss of flash, loss off multiple flashes. I shoot LOTS of images, like all wedding photographers do so I actually rotate through 4 of these at every wedding. They work. EVERY time. Realiable. THE BEST OUT THERE. Worth every dime.
