So, I own the 2' and the 3' Profoto octa boxes and I bought 2 of the smaller adapter rings (Profoto Off-Camera Flash Speedring for Profoto B1 and B2) ... to find out the 3' Octa was way too much weight for the smaller speed ring ... I ordered this one it was here in two days in perfect time for my next shoot! It's worked excellently!

This speedring is a must for using the Profoto RFI softboxes. The first time you use it, it can be a bit tricky to get the rods in, but it loosens up and becomes easier after a few uses. I love how sturdy Profoto products are.

Solidly built and extremely functional, never fails to do the job. Secure and reliable, quality typical of Profoto. Conor coding makes assembly foolproof and the rotating colour that allows soft boxes to be rotated is very useful. I use this ring to attach soft boxes, octas and beauty dishes to D1 and B1 heads and I have not bothered to use a dome on the flash because D/B1s fill all modifiers so well that a dome is not necessary.

Great quality, never fails. You need one if you want to use a softbox. I have one for each one of my RFi softboxes and it’s alway on. I don’t like to fold and storage my softboxes, I don’t like to take apart the speedring, I always have them ready to use in my studio. The ring rotates as you need and it has color marks to guide you. I know they are expensive, but I recommend to buy one for each one of your softboxes.

I use this to connect various softboxes to my profoto D1 500 and 1000 lights. It is the same as the orignally equipped speedring that comes with the kit. It clamps well to the light and holds the softboxes firmly.

This speeding is very very durable. I was surprised at the quality. When you insert the rods into the speedring, they are held in by magnets to keep them secure. It loses a star for price. You wouldn't think an adapter that is required for their brand softbox would have to be purchased separately and be so pricey.

I use this with my Profoto D1 and Profoto Rfi 1x4 soft box. So easy to install and the color-coded dots help a lot when assembling the softbox. The new design quality is better than the older Profoto Speedring.
