These lights are the perfect location lighting strobes. The batteries last a good while and they recycle fast. They handle all the modifiers as well. I have 3 of them and they can handle just about any location. The ability for high speed sync is an added bonus. Shooting wide open in daylight with ND filters is great.

Best purchase I have made in years. This kit simplified my location setup and is amazing to work with. I bought extra batteries and I can shoot all day long. It is nice to be able to shoot in daylight with f 2.2 and not need a ND filter. I don't know why I didn't get these sooner.

I don't have a studio, why would I need one? These little beauties give me studio quality light anywhere I want them. I use them every day and they deliver great results in a simple and easy to use package. I love that I can hand this to my assistant and we can walk quickly get the shot and move to the next location. A wicked good tool for impressing clients.

This light and it’s predecessor have had significant impact on production for lifestyle, fashion and event shooters. Having a full size professional profoto head available anywhere is such a pleasure. If I could change one thing, I would make the led modeling lamp 5600k and brighter so I could use these for small video production. Otherwise it’s perfect and being able to use my 15 year old modifiers makes this baby timeless.

The B1X 500 is an awesome light. I charged the battery, turned in on, I shot several pictures using ttl and everyone was exposed perfectly.

Difficult to justify the steep price, but once I got my hands on it, and without reading the manual, was using it in less than 30 seconds with the air remote in TTL on a Nikon D810. Popped in some batteries and it was pretty self explanatory, except the modeling light adjustment. The folding beauty dish is a little less than desired. It works, but is a little flimsy. I just love the ease of onboard battery and the life of the battery is amazing. I purchased a second battery, but i'm not sure I needed it. Used it on one paid gig and it worked perfectly every pop. I need to try the HSS out still. Grids are next. I also like the kit bag. I used an umbrella, and it stayed in place (no screws). I love this kit! So portable. Goodbye Einsteins.

the B1x is superb ! the color temperature is constant in every single shot ! amazing recycle time ! either in studio or on location B1x is the only light you need. there are some cheaper brands but you compromise recycle time as well as extremely important "color temperature" Battery life lasts me for a full days wedding or a full editorial shoot ! Make sure you update firmware as soon as you get it to tale advantage of its full potencial allowing you to use HSS. I am very happy with mine ! oh !
