Based on the original D2, the D2i features significant hardware and software upgrades specifically designed to meet the needs of extreme volume studios.
Long Life Industrial Design.
Industrial mass production of images puts more stress on lighting equipment than traditional studio photography.
That is why we redesigned D2 Industrial with selected long-life components in every critical part, including:
• The long-life quartz flash tube
• The upgraded internal circuit boards
Predictive Maintenance.
D2 Industrial has passed extreme tests during the design phase. The test results have formed the conditions for the built-in service indicators that lets you know when it is time for service and to replace the flashtube.
This helps alleviate the issues surrounding inconsistent output and color when a flashtube is used beyond its approved life and fired until it breaks.
The D2 Industrial firmware also includes a flash counter that cannot be reset. This will enable to user to follow the "flash mileage" on each unit.
