Profoto B10 AirTTL Off Camera Flash Duo Kit with 2 Flash Heads, Batteries, and Charger

I am a full time commercial photographer and purchased 2 of these heads as a lightweight, wireless solution when I?m on location. They are everything I thought they would be, easy to use and the built in trigger receiver works flawlessly. Now the downside. After a year of moderate use the flash portion of the head stopped firing in the middle of a commercial shoot. After contacting profoto they said it had to be sent in. From baltimore to New Jersey it took 2 weeks for them to confirm they received my light and that they were looking at it. Flash tubes need to be replaced on monolights so I was expecting this but oh no! They said that only they can change the flash tube and that it required the tube and the front unit to be replaced. This is a 630.00 dollar repair! You can NOT change the tubes on these lights yourself. After agreeing to pay for the repair they then tell me that they do not have the parts and they will let me know when they get them in. I?m a pro photographer and even though I have backup lights, this is too long to wait. It?s been a month since sending it out and they still don?t have the parts so who knows when I?ll ever get it back. I love these lights but I have to say I?m hesitant in ever buying another. Service and maintenance is a part of taking care of your gear and this makes me want to invest in a different portable light solution.

Have owned b2's and the b1x's studio kits, sold those off to use the b10's. my 3 x b10's are my goto on location/studio and used with my d2 in studio. As with all the Profoto lighting & modifiers i've used, it's solidly built/durable, reliable and consistent.

Great Light. I love how small and compact it is and it is a very powerful light with a gray punch. It goes great with my profoto D2. After using Profoto products I will never work with a different light again. This Apex a great punch at 250 W great for on location as well as I feel like an main light.

Love Profoto and I love this set of lights. However, one slight breeze and unattended lightstand blows over (admittedly my fault!) - soft cushion landing and still, the cost of repairs is outrageous! Cheaper options out there folks!

one of my alltime favorite strobes. I like how bright the modeling lamp is and the throw is impressive. i can shoot bare bulb with this flash and it still looks amazing. perfect compact size and weight. would buy again....when on sale lol.

I’m super impressed with these lights and the backpack. Sometimes you have to odd little jobs that don’t have a budget. These are perfect to take with you and still get the job done with out assistant. Your only out on your time. Also if you’re flying and traveling abroad are the perfect.

Such a great light to have in the kit, the battery life is awesome and it works great with my air remote! Their are cheaper options out there that are probably pretty great as well, I buy Profoto because of the design and consistency in recycle time, if your reading this then your probably a great photographer, good luck in your career and keep enjoying life! ??

Coming from an Elinchrom ELB system, I wanted something small without the cables and the pack. The B10's fit the need perfectly; small, light and wireless. I also like that the adapters are very well thought through as a system and that they all work very well "as a system". The smartphone ap works perfectly only adding to the ability of this system to fit my ocf lighting needs. Sure it's more expensive, but it is definitely (IMHO) worth it.

I love the B10! It's much easier to tote around a location shoot with its small profile. I just used it for a senior session and loved it! The quality of light is beautiful.

Very easy to use and setup. The one drawback is the battery lasts a mere 90 minutes with the model light on. But, you can charge and use the product at the same time. Pricey.

The Duo Kit is pricey, but besides the pricing, the strobes are absolutely wonderful, they are extremely portable and reliable, and the backpack is the ideal carrying case for the two strobes and the charging accessories, it will also carry a 15 inch laptop and other small items. The LED modeling light is amazing, it has become useful during small video projects.Should you justify the purchase of the Duo Kit, this brand name product will mostly align with your photography brand. I am a Nikon speedlight enthusiast (own eight speedlights) and Elinchrom user. Why I am switching from my Elinchrom Quadra Ranger RX strobes and my other Elinchrom strobes is that my wireless Elinchrom triggers weren't reliable anymore, and I also started not liking the strobe cables running all around my sets. I won't ditch my Nikon speedlights though. If you already have the B1/X you probably won't need to switch to B10 unless you think it's a must (like you want to go ultra portable, need video lighting)

I replaced my B2's with these fabulous units. I love not having to load up the separate battery. Flash power is great, as is its compact size. And the ability to set the power by my iPhone? Brilliant!

I purchased this unit. Returned it after one use. There is no sync port. If your Air Remote is too close to the unit the flash will not fire because of radio wave interference. If you ever want to use this light near your camera the unit is useless with no fix - other than optically slaving from another flash. Such a stupid oversight. Un-usable for professionals.

I own B1's and B2's for loaciton shooting and D2's for the studio. I started with the B1's and they are awesome, and are my go-to on-location lights, especially when I need to overpower the sun. But they are very top heavy, need robust stands, and cannot be used with modifiers when there is any wind around, and need lots of sandbags on the stands. The B2's are much smaller and lighter but there is a setup time. Now with the B10, you have the same 250WS output of the B2 but in a monolight without the connection time, so to get shooting is much faster. They are compact, MUCH lighter than the B1, and have all the same features as the B1/B2 lights and appear to be robust. And of course they use all our existing Profoto Modifiers. Happy So Far

the very first thing I did when I received it was update the firmware. Once updated downloaded on my mobile device (iPhone X) the profoto app and paired my B10 and within seconds I was able to use my B10s from my device I can even use my phone to take a photo and the B10s will flash creating some studio work with my phone. I took the light on location to test it in combination with my B1x on location kit and it worked beautifully. my first shot was on TTL and once I achieved the correct exposure locked it switched to Manual on both cases the light was consistent on both temperature and on power output. is nice o have the ability to charge the light when im at the studio while shooting (unlike the B1x). focusing merely on the quality of the ;light and the results I got from the get go were superb !! now Adorama had advertised that "next day delivery" applied at time of purchase but didn't get the light as "advertised" I got the light days later (when I ordered my B1x kit had se exact same issue) so pretty disappointed by Adoramas click bait.

Produces nice quality light. It is light enough to take anywhere. Battery life lasts though most of a shoot.

Great light. Half the power of the b1 but the battery has kept up with full days at half power and being able to have the light plugged in while shooting is a major benefit. I like that the size and weight is half what the b1 is. Uses all standard profoto modifiers
