This is a no-brainer!

This cap is simple in design but perfect in fit and function. SO much easier to take on/off than the OEM lens cover - stays on when on, pulls off when you need it off. Will definitely buy a few more!

Top grade

Finally, someone woke up one day and invented a thing that actually works. There is not much to choose from in 114mm size. It has allowance for rim of 114mm filter thread lens, so can be put on and off easily. It grips well. Probably waterproof all along (unlike rest your your lens, obviously) . Flat front is stiff plastic encased in heavy duty rubber. You will not puncture it with a regular size knife. Even if you drop you lens front element first, there is not a chance of damage. Ideal for wildlife folks with lots of banging along the trail. Also, for transportation. Maybe the ornamental groves on flat front can accumulate dust and pollen a bit, but whole cap can (and should) be washed easily. This is a cheapest insurance you can buy for your expensive toy and well worth investment. Grab it.

Piece of mind for Protection:

The Polar Pro Defender was a God send. I got one for my very expensive Nikon Z 24-70 2.8 Lens. It is exactly as it is describe. Very sturdy and protective. I plan to order more for my Z 70-200mm and my Z 85mm.

Since lens caps don’t fit on these filters, this is the perfect solution. The top is hard plastic so it’s super sturdy. I couldn’t be happier with polar pro products. Extremely good quality

Rubber lens cap

These rubber lens caps fit very nice and snug! This is the second one I have bought and they are great. Please beware that they fit the lens so tight, that they will not fit over a lens hood. This is not an issue for me, but if you want them to fit over your lens hood, you will need to buy a larger size.

Filter users: better alternative for lens cap/cover

It's rugged, snug...yet easy to remove. I chose this because the standard Nikon lens cap supplied with my lens does not fit reliably on the Nikon polie filter.
