The only disadvantage with the non-Panasonic battery is that the battery life information will not display on the camera's information viwescreen. The battery does not allow as many pictures on a full charge as a Panasonic battery. 2. I have to turn it off and back on, and then it works again. Sometimes it will work till the charge runs out, or I may get error messages and have to soon reboot again. Another point is that the camera cannot read the amount of charge in the battery. Thus you never know when the charge is getting low so that you could change batteries preemptively. The camera will just go dead without warning when the battery runs out. When I bought this replacement battery, the regular Panasonic battery was out of stock. But I was going on a trip and wanted another back-up quickly. If I purchase another battery for this camera, it will not be the Power2000. Does Not show Powere Level In Camera

The battery does not show how much charge is left when it is the camera. It has a higher capacity then the original Panasonic Battery. But I will send them back for a refund as I don't want to damage my camera.
