It didn't work.
Though this battery was advertised as being compatible with my Nikon D500, and it charged correctly in a Nikon charger, my camera did not recognize it and the battery registered as "dead" in the camera.

Good to a point
As advertised it will work in a Nikon D500. It has been a while since I bought mine, there might have been an improvement. If the battery is used right after charging, you can expect a full day of shooting. Not unusual to fire off over 1000 shots on a single charge. Just do not expect it to hold a charge past a couple of days.
The battery is quite consistent in performance. From a fresh charge, it will power the D500 all day. Just recharge it after shooting.

Works great in my Nikon D500
This is the second battery for my Nikon D500, but I have been rotating it on alternating basis with my original Nikon Battery. I have noticed no differences between the two under use... but there is a considerable difference between the two purchase prices. I am planning on getting another one or two of these for when I start using my MB-D17.
