Power2000 CGA-DU21 Replacement Lithium-Ion 7.2v, 2400mAh Camcorder Battery for Panasonic CGA-DU21

Used for old PanasonicPV-GS320 Mini-DV camcorder which uses a Panasonic OEM CGA-DU14 7.2V 1360mAh Li-ion battery. The Power2000 CGA-Du21 is a higher capacity unit and fits on the camera without too much drama but sticks out further from the camera due to it's increased capacity over the OEM battery. I used the stock Panasonic PV-DAC14D battery charger to recharge the CGA-DU21. It charged up the aftermarket battery but according to the camera's battery meter never charged up to 100% capacity. I put the old camcorder away for about a year and recently tried to used it again. Much to my dissapointment the Power2000 CGA-DU21 died in it's sleep and will no longer charge up nor power the camera. As a note the original Panasonic OEM CGA-DU14 still works like a champ. This is an old camera and there are not many replacement battery choices on the market so what can you do? I noticed that there is a Power2000 CGA-DU14 replacement available now so I guess I'll have to go ahead and get one of those so I can use the old Panasonic to shoot some vintage looking camcorder clips. We'll see how the smaller battery does on long term use.
