They are JUNK. i ended up buying the big Canon batteries cost a lot more but they work I shot a wedding reception on one with power to spareDON C : I have three batteries for my Canon VIXIA M400 video camera. · Wasabi Power BTR-BP827-JWP 7.4v 3000mAh. When I start the camera with this battery fully charged, the camera screen tells me that this battery will run 385 minutes. · Power2000 BP-819 7.4v 2100mAh. When I start the camera with this battery fully charged, the camera screen says this battery will run 209 minutes. · The original Cano BP-809 battery that came with the M400 camera. When I start the camera with this battery fully charged, the camera screen says this battery will run 117 minutes. I am not vouching for the accuracy of these ?minutes.? I don?t use the camera in a way such that I would turn it on and let it run until the battery was exhausted. And, I suppose, the fact that the batteries are no longer new (have been discharged and recharged a number of times) would affect the useful life. I hope this info is useful. donTHOMAS A : We have had good luck with the replacement in that it lasts well over 5 hours without requiring a charge. To be honest we have not drained it in one use. I have seen it rated up to 6 or so hours.RENATO C : The answer is.. Depends on how you use it. With the LCD open and in video mode, approx. 60 min. Power2000 BP819 never hold charge

The" Power2000 BP819" battery never hold charge and only good for 10 mins of shooting time then went dead!!!

A more practical preference

For a way lower price, I still get results just as good as the original battery for my XA10.
