I don?t use the camera in a way such that I would turn it on and let it run until the battery was exhausted. And, I suppose, the fact that the batteries are no longer new (have been discharged and recharged a number of times) would affect the useful life. I hope this info is useful. donTHOMAS A : We have had good luck with the replacement in that it lasts well over 5 hours without requiring a charge. To be honest we have not drained it in one use. The" Power2000 BP819" battery never hold charge and only good for 10 mins of shooting time then went dead!!!

A more practical preference

For a way lower price, I still get results just as good as the original battery for my XA10.
