The Proavio 32TB 16-Bay 3U Rackmount UltraStor RS16SS RAID Storage System offers data transfer speeds of up to 800MB/sec and features 64-bit RAID architecture, up to 1GB cache and 3.0 Gbp/s SATA II / 15K RPM SAS disks. It is suitable for storage in applications such as image processing, web streaming, data centers, media and asset management libraries, file and database servers. It comes with 32TB data storage and dual 4GB SFP fiber channel ports and is designed to operate in performance, mission-critical and data-intensive network environments.

With the built-in Snapshot feature, your data is protected from accidental deletion, making the UltraStor RS16 SS Enterprise RAID Storage System suitable for applications such as disk-to-disk backup, database pools, image acquisition, near line storage and shared SAN networks. It allows dynamic storage expansion to be achieved using the new RS16 JS JBOD storage systems. In addition, dynamic on-line RAID expansion allows additional storage capacity to be added without shutting down the system.

Features such as drive failure detection, automatic drive rebuild, hot spare assignment and background rebuild, allow you to easily monitor and address system conditions. The UltraStor RS16 SS Enterprise RAID Storage System supports multiple array configurations and RAID (0, 1 (0+1), 3, 5, 6, 30, 50 and JBOD) levels, for enhanced reliability and flexibility. It comes with 2 dual channel SAS ports and a single channel SAS expandable port and features an embedded expansion port that helps reduce your total cost of ownership and protects your investment.

The web GUI (Graphical User Interface) allows you to remotely control various aspects of the storage system such as RAID level, volume and cache, over the internet. The "Quick Install" wizard enables quick and easy installation. The UltraStor RS16 SS Enterprise RAID Storage features a 2U low profile 19" (48.26 cm) rackmount and an audible alarm that warns of component failures.
