Im always putting finger prints on my filters using folding pouches. These caps keep my fingers off filter surfaces. Ive used these to unscrew stuck stacked filters on lenses. Shape seems to fit these into camera bag in othewise unused space. Heavy.
hard to find - worth the looking
I keep a small set of filters for each of my lenses. These just screw onto the threads of the filters making a compact water and dust tight cover for the filters. (there are male and female caps) Adorama is the only place I have been able to find these old fashioned joys...
