Works as advertised
It is nice and solid. The only quibble I would have is that the Alignment 'mark' is just a hole and very hard to see especially in the dark. It is possible that there is supposed to be something in the hole like the red 'button' on Canon lenses that is just missing on mine in which case it is poor quality control The hole is threaded but there appears to be a small set screw already in it.

Works well...
The first one of these I received from Adorama did not lock into place. It should lock when it is seated. I contacted Adorama and they sent me another at no charge. The second one worked fine and it does seat well. It's not as tight as some I have owned, but I'm satisfied with it and the price is right.

I used this mount on a Meade telescope attaching a Canon 6D for some moon and planet shots. It attached firmly to the camera body and eye piece for steady shots and no worries of it coming loose. It functioned perfectly and appears to be well made.
