Works for me

Great Lens Hood
My original lens comes with a 67 mm lens hood. I use a 77 mm ND and polarizer filter. I purchased this so I can use the step up ring, filters and still use the lens hood. This hood is of great quality. Works as designed even at 28mm. Product came on time and was priced reasonably. Very satisfied.

Versital sun shade
Plastic, screws on and works very well on wide angle 52mm filter ringed lenses. Love that I can position the larger petals off center if need be.

Locking Lens Shade - Finally!
The addition of a locking button is much needed, because it was relatively easy to knock off the lens.
Now it locks on the barrel of the lens.

The hood arrived as scheduled with the lens I ordered. It was packed in a bag and in a box. All is well and it works great!

Rotating at will lens hood.
It will move on its own and will appear on the corners with wide angle shots. I try to keep it taped where it is suppose to be but it will not stay.

Nice but limiting
This Lens hood works great, especially when taking photographs of airplanes flying by. I actually like it better than the stock hood I have. My only complaint would be that I can't use filters with this hood, and the lens cap isn't as secure on this hood as with the one that came with the camera.

Hood or Filter, Choose One
I was looking for a suitable alternative/replacement on my 35mm f1.4... I didn't know this product uses the lens filter threads and doesn't have a threaded section for installing a filter... so, choose one - hood or filter, not both

Great value for a very good product
Very reasonably priced, it does what a lens shade is supposed to do. Note that it is a "sculpted" or "petal shaped." screw in, lens shade. That makes it perfect for a wide angle lens & less than perfect for normal & telephoto lenses. Absolutely recommended for my friends that need a reasonably priced, wide angle lens shade. It is not as convenient as a bayonet mount lens shade.

Not really wide angle.
I am really disappointed that I see the hood when I'm using focal lengths less than about 40mm (lens is 16-140mm). I don't consider that wide angle. Being petal shaped, it is visible on two sides only.

Best I have found for a Coolpix 900.
This hood works well on a Nikon Coolpix 900. The petals do encroach in the picture area at short end of the zoom, but a simple trim of the corners cares for that.

Don't waste your money!
The hood is not like a Canon lens hood. The Canon hoods use the molded large threads that are a part of the Canon lens that allows the hood to be reversed for storage. This cheap-o hood uses the fine threads in the lens assembly and will not mount in a reverse mode. A lens cap cannot be used when the lens hood is attached. Keeping the hood attached takes up room in a bag. I will bet the fine threads on the hood will be a real problem after the hood is attached and removed a few times. If you use a thin filter without much thread depth - good luck attaching the hood. The description says noting about this and I wasted $- this is too small of an amount to waste time with a return - but enough to make me feel cheated. Lesson learned - buy original mfg equipment.
