Not for 18-55 AFS DX VR II Lens
I bought 2 of these for the 1 18-55 lens I have
sadly I never researched to learn it only works on the older version lens not the II
simple snap on design to block stray light
even though most lens have coatings to prevent flares/ ghosting etc anyways

Wrong sized fabrication

The lens hood is just what I really like. Serves photographic purpose, and enhances my camera's image.

Impressive

Love the bayonet type hoods. The type that screw onto the filter always leave a vinette on your shot, especially with a wide angle lens, or a zoom at the shortest focal length. These hoods attach to the outside of the lens and work great!

Nice for the price. Tight fit and doesn't rotate on the lens like genuine but so what. I recommend it without reservation. 

HB-45 clone

Came in super fast and perfectly packaged. All in one fantastic price. This was my first order from this company and it won't be my last.

This lens hood is as good as the original that came with my Nikon lens but cracked when I slipped and fell on ice over a year ago when it hit the ground. A hood of this type does not allow it to lock/twist onto the lens but that's the way Nikon designed it. Unless it gets hit sharply, it doesn't come off on its own.  An original Nikon costs between ($). For ($) you're getting your money's worth here.
